The store itself is great, the employees have always been helpful, but their price match policies are completely nonsensical. I'll shop on Amazon when I can rather than here unfortunately! I came in for wiper blades, and while looking at reviews for the different wipers, noticed the price was about $10 less than theirs per blade. So I figured I'd ask if they price match. He said they do, but then stipulated they had to add on to the price match the cost of a month of Amazon Prime. A MONTH of free shipping, Prime video, Prime music, Prime books; they're going to add that for one measely wiper blade?? It would make more sense if you divided the cost of my Prime by the hundreds of items I order in a year, which might add something significantly less than a dollar. Add a dollar or two for convenience, sure, but a month of Prime?? That's completely illogical. If they just plain didn't price match, I might have stayed and bought the blades. But with that kind of policy that's obviously trying to nickel and dime the customer, I figured I'd take my...
Read moreOn Sept 13 I visited the Maple Valley store to see if they had a passenger side mirror for my 1998 Ford Mustang. I had looked it up on the O'Reilly website and knew I should be able to get what I needed. I told the clerk what I needed. He didn't even look it up online to see if the part was available. He took me to the back of the store and showed me some generic mirrors and said that if they were not the right shape I could cut my own. I told him I would not cut my own I would order it online and left. He should have looked it up told me he could order it for me and I would have been happy. Instead he lost the business and I went into Covington to AutoZone and ordered the part which they had for me two days later. I may not go back to O'Reilly's Maple Valley or I may give them another chance I have...
Read moreToday I went in to buy a headlight for my car, as one of them had burned out awhile ago. The thing is, I have literally no idea how to install it. My husband did all of that type of stuff, and he passed away about a year ago. This is the first time I’ve had to go in by myself to an auto parts store. To say I was nervous was an understatement. I didn’t get the name of the kid that actually rang me up, but he was super nice and helpful. Thomas actually came out to my car and took the old one out and put the new one in for me! He was very kind and professional, and didn’t make me feel stupid for barely knowing how to pop my hood open! Thank you Thomas, from the bottom of this widow’s broken heart for your kind help today! There needs to be more people like him...
