I’m sitting in the Oro Valley Verizon store, awaiting a manager to appear. I am returning a phone case I paid $50 thru this store and have ordered the same case for my iphone15 thru Amazon for$15. The clerk says he’s busy on the phone (this is my second visit to the store- no mgr on weekends - and I’m told a manager needs to override this return). Update: the manager was unable to credit me directly through my AmEx and we agreed to have $54.29 refunded to me through a credit on my next bill. I think this is a reasonable resolution. However, this store told me I could take a 5G unit back at a “corporate center” and when I attempted to do so I was stonewalled at that store ( Cortaro Farms) and finally mailed it out via FedEx: their label and box (too large) and my expense to have FedEx pack for safe shipment. Poor customer service and hostility among branches (I don’t care if you are independent or not, you all carry the Verizon brand) leads me to question the choice for internet service through Verizon.

My wife and I (retirees at 80, yet fairly tech comfortable)needed to update our older phones and Verizon contract, so we decided to visit the Marana TCC store on Thornydale ahead of the Black Friday crowds. There were three other customers ahead of us, but within ten minutes Daniel began helping us with information and options. He walked us through the process, explaining each step without rushing or being condescending to us. He even briefly helped his coworker with other customer questions now and then, without missing a beat. In little over an hour, he setup everything we needed, almost like a friendly, tech-savvy grandson might do. We left as happy new-phone campers!

The first lesson learned only use Verizon company stores these authorized retailers are not monitored or accountable to Verizon. After being scammed by this store I contacted Verizon, and they informed me that they have no recourse over these retailers and next time I should deal with a company store. FYI there is a company store located on Cortaro Rd. I was there and the wait was too long, so I went to the Thornydale store. There is a good reason for the wait trust, accountability and recourse. My story begins last December when Verizon was running trade in specials. To keep it simple I handed over three devices and the login to my company account with the understanding from Stephanie that I was getting three new devices “Free”, and my bill would be reduced by $146.00 a month. After two months of not seeing the reduction but an increase of $100.00 plus. I contacted Stephanie at the store and was told to give it another month that it takes time, and the credits will be retroactive. Over the next several months I made many contacts with Stephanie by phone and text at the store. She continued to represent that she had confirmation numbers, it will happen, and the credits will be retroactive. The same story. Finally, I contacted Verizon corporate, and they informed me that they only had a record of one device being turned in as a part of the program. They also informed me that it was not free but only a small trade in credit was issued. With Verizon on the phone, I contacted the Thornydale store and fortunately Stephanie answered the phone. I conferenced her with the Verizon corporate representative and she finally admitted that she only turned in one device. She then informed me for the first time that two of the devices were damaged and did not qualify for the program. This was a surprise as when I met with her with the devices, I disclosed the exact damage with each device, and she represented that it did not matter with the program. AT the end of the day what I thought was going to be a substantial saving over two years turned out to be a substantial cost increase and I am locked in for two more years. My advice stay away from Verizon retail stores especially this store and only “TRUST” a Verizon company store.

Lastly if I could give zero stars I would have. Dishonesty should not qualify for a star.

I called the number in the owner response. It’s an automated number I was on hold for 15 minutes finally left a call back number and never got a call back. Obviously, an AI response to the review. They have my number this time you call me but please don’t waste anymore of my...

The trip to a cell phone store when we need an upgrade due to a damaged or old phone can be a frustrating experience. The Verizon TCC retail store is the ONLY Verizon store in Tucson you should be handling your cell phone purchases and/or issues through!! Yesterday my wife and I came to this location, which sits in the Fry's shopping center on Tangerine Rd at Thorneydale, to get her phone upgraded and drop an old plan with Sprint (T-Mobile). The crew at this location (Adrian, Stephanie, and David) were spectacular. They were busy, humming along efficiently greeting customers, getting them ready for their visit (account #'s, transfer PIN, etc...). Our wait was pleasant and we needed time to gather requisite information from her old account. This was a genius move by them in keeping the sit down/set-up and purchase time to a minimum. We were handled by Adrian who has a pleasant, customer-driven persona. His confidence and knowledge of their products and plans is admirable. He provided information and options and genuinely made the entire experience a cooperative affair between customer and retailer. I am a destroyer of cell phones, I don't know why, so I have been through this too many times to count. What we experienced with Adrian was happening with other customers by the other two. Everyone happy and pleased with their experience. I have never had this type of relaxing, informative, genuine treatment EVER at any other Verizon retailer. Don't go anywhere else in Tucson, we tried and we left angry. TCC Verizon Store is where you need to go! Thank you Adrian for the excellent...

If I can give a 0, I would! Be alert to the store if you want to be pushing around digging and tracking your ordered phone yourself!!!! We ordered three phones from them on 7/2 and was told we would get our order in 2 days and said they would call us when order arrives(nice promise, huh?!). We didn't expect 2 days, it was 7/4 weekend. We called a week after, was told the order had a delay, call back next day to check again. But what about the promise of calling us when the order arrives?? The answer appreantly is "we are too busy, cannot call you, please call back." Whatever, we have been calling since then. Look at what day it is now?! 7/21??!!! 2 days??!! Someone do the math! Then we were told we needed to contact UPS to find the order. So we called UPS, they said package was lost. Then we called the store, they told us "we will discuss with our district manager to resolve this issue, will call you back in 10 minutes." Next thing we know, the district manager is not at work, we will get a call back the day after then the day after. How many days do we need to play "the day after" game? We called again today and was told by a different employee, "contact Verison yourself." REALLY?! TCC, get yourself together! Stop the fake promises, train your emplyees and maybe get a distrcit manager who actually works?! And someone updates the hours on Google and tell your corporate that you guys actually work one less hour than the said hours! Very disappointed, first and last time do business with...
