My wife had been to Kathein Jewelers in the past and were very happy with the service and experience level. We needed an Eternity ring repaired. Ari looked at it, explained the issues and what it would take to fix/correct the ring. Here is where Kathein is different than an everyday Jeweler. It was then pointed out that to just repair would not solve an underlying issue and that it is likely to have problems in the future based on how it was initially built/made. It would have been very easy to fix and repair and collect a fee. Customer would be happy and Kathein paid for services. Ari pointed out the flaws and why we should do more than just "fix it" What he did not know was that we had a similar issue with the ring years ago.

Kathein did the right thing for us in the long run.

Let's just start this off by saying I am knowingly and admittedly a "high maintenance" client. I am extremely particular. I went to Kathein Jewelers looking to create a custom ring, using my existing stones from my wedding set. I had specific requests. This quaint family-run business is a hidden gem (pun intended). While somewhat small, they are customer-friendly and 100% accommodating. During each visit to the store, I witnessed them giving each client focused attention, really tuning into the client's wishes and desires. I had a specific vision in my head but had difficulty articulating that to Avital and Ari. Somehow, they magically became mind-readers. They lie, they don’t do the work you request and keep your jeweler for inordinate amounts of time. The large man is a bully and he’s rude and mean. The father doesn’t write anything down so I left my jewelry there for six weeks and absolutely nothing was done and then they hand me. My diamond brings back and say that they aren’t safe to wear because I didn’t request that thing be reset Instead of tightening the prongs. Why would I drop off the jewelry and then pick it up if they weren’t safe to wear. They chitchat so much and all they do is try and make a sale that they don’t pay attention to their repairs and they abbreviate and don’t make thorough notes.
