My husband and I worked with Chelsea to design my engagement ring and our wedding bands. When we started browsing engagement rings, I didn’t see anything at chain jewelry stores that felt like me. As soon as I saw the rings on the Honey Design Instagram, I knew Chelsea would create something that felt unique and personal. From the start Chelsea was very transparent about each step of the process and pricing. She is so knowledgeable about gemstones and jewelry. Based on our inspiration pictures, she quickly provided a variety of designs and then helped us to narrow down more specific details. It was especially fun that we were able see multiple sapphires and choose our specific stone – she provided so many beautiful options to choose from! Even when we were worried about making the “right” choice on aspects of the design, we were confident that whatever she created would be beautiful.

Chelsea was so easy to work with, communicated quickly and clearly, and provided many great suggestions along the way. For example, when my husband didn’t have a vision for his wedding band, she explained all of the options for the fits and finishes and helped him find what he liked. We loved her suggestion to engrave the inside of his wedding band. Chelsea was able to design and manufacture our wedding bands in about one month! My rings are absolutely beautiful and it is so meaningful that my husband and I were able to create them together.

Chelsea asked me to come in for a custom design consultation to get an idea of what I wanted in an engagement ring. Little did I know, Kyle had already begun working with Chelsea and Honey Designs. The ideas I passed on became the foundation of what would become my ring. Not to mention, I got a complimentary manicure just for playing with diamond designs with Chelsea, SCORE! Flash forward to a few months later, and there was Kyle proposing with a more perfect ring than I could have ever chosen or designed for myself. Chelsea perfectly captured both of our personalities and incorporated all of the beautiful elements we both wanted to craft literally the most PERFECT RING EVER! No matter what, marrying my best friend is the most exciting and thrilling adventure yet. But the fact that this ring is so thoughtfully and skillfully designed and crafted makes it so infinitely more meaningful that I want to ugly cry a whole bunch of happy tears every time I see it on my hand. Chelsea cared so much about making this the perfect ring and the perfect experience, and that is something that no jewelry store can manufacture. We used the mini photography session (Chelsea hooks her clients up with so many rad gifts and surprises - Seriously, its unreal how awesome she is!) to capture my stunned look when the man of my dreams asked me to marry him with the ring my dreams are made of!

When I started looking for a ring I really didn’t know where to start. I went to a couple of places staffed by ladies with big hair and men with shiny teeth trying to sell me rings of unknown origin and quality. Defeated, I was speaking to a friend who had recently got engaged and he suggested speaking to Chelsea. The whole process was a revelation.

From my first conversation with Chelsea it became clear that she is passionate about what she does and has an excellent understanding of the technicalities of ring design. Handy really as I was completely clueless.

She stepped me through the basics and managed to interpret my vague, nonsensical ideas into some excellent concepts. She was incredibly patient with me and spent a long time making small changes to the design before we moved into diamond selection. This was my favourite part; looking at diamonds under a microscope and deciding which stone would work best.

Once we had a design and stone agreed, the manufacturing process was quick and Chelsea kept me up to date on progress all the way through. The final result was excellent.

I loved the process so much that we went back for our wedding bands and designed something to complement the engagement ring.
