Big Lots — Local services in Marietta

The layout of this store is confusing and not at all like any Big Lot store I have ever been to. It felt like walking into a furniture store that was trying to be a TJ Max. The store was also poorly organized. The edges of the store felt like the same isle split by the rest of the store. The only reason this store gets 2 stars is because of the prices and deals that I got and the cleanliness. The only time I seen an employee was at the checkout which also was like a maze and only one employee who was also answering phones. (The employee was very nice and asked if I found everything ok, although at that point it didn't matter.) My recommendation for the store is to keep with the layout of what a BigLots is. Give your employees a chance to work instead of everyone in the store walking through a maze. Last but not least, open up the checkout area to where your customers know how it works. I couldn't tell the difference between a customer standing and waiting to be checked out and the employee trying to work. The check out is so over...

I like big lots, seems like their getting better products in and that shows in their prices but still reasonable. I go by there every once in a while to see what all they have. The furniture selection is decent and I have bought some from their just be sure to buy the extended warranty on the furniture. We bought a couch there and it broke down quickly but we had the extended warranty and I had to send pics of the couch and they sent me big lots gift card for the amount of the couch so we could go get a new one! Have some great prices that cannot be beat (e.g. Arazona green tea cans 75 cents, tombstone pizza 3-4 dollars, etc) but you have to be careful to not get carried away since some items are overpriced (banquet frozen meals for example, the small ones, are $1.60 where they are less than a dollar elsewhere).

If you want drinks they definitely are a good deal though since most sodas/teas are considerably cheaper than competitors.

Furniture prices are on par with what you would expect.
