FIVE STARS HANDS DOWN!!! First off, Fred, the owner, is working his tail off to do a great job and keep his store running BY HIMSELF. When I went in to make my purchase, the phone was ringing off the hook, customers were at the front, customers picking up, and customers browsing the store. I could tell he was a little frazzled, but he kept his cool and handled every situation one at a time. He didn't interrupt a customer in person to answer the phone, which I thought was really cool and classy. It was all I could do to not try to help and at least try to answer the phone. Ha! When I asked him about his staffing situation, he said they have tried to hire people and they just can't get anyone---so if you have great customer service skills, I bet Fred would love to hire you!! LOL

Now for the awesome part---we had ordered a full kitchen of appliances from Home Depot and we kept getting pushed back and pushed back on our delivery date. One GE lady said it may even be December before we get our ovens! This is June! Well, someone suggested I call the "little guy" instead of the big box store. Divine intervention and advice! I did a simple Google search and found Smith Appliance. I called and Fred answered and I asked if he had the GE appliances I was desiring and he said yes. We had such a run around with HD that I was desperate and would take any color, but the color I really wanted was slate--and I said by chance do you have them in slate---totally expecting the answer to be no. Well, the heavens parted, the sun came out---Fred said absolutely and I have everything in stock!! I couldn't believe it!! He also gave me the number of his best installer, Tyler the Tool Box. That was a Tuesday. By Thursday everything was installed and ready to use. Fred and Tyler have literally been amazing and the entire customer service experience was A++. I want to share this review a million times and hope that Fred can also get the staffing help he needs because he needs great people helping him continue to be great. One other thing, Fred's prices were a little cheaper than Home Depot's. Saving is saving and I had a personable experience as well. Outstanding sales and service!! My decade old Speed Queen quit on a Tuesday and I was on the phone with Fred on Thursday. No one had any Speed Queen inventory due in for 6 weeks plus...except for Fred!! He had several different Speed Queen's in inventory and was amazingly knowledgeable about each of them. My husband and I peppered him with questions & options for the the better part of an hour. He had a quick answer for everything we asked and more info. It helped make our decision simple, completely unpressured and actually fun. He explained all the options clearly and gave us examples of his own use of the machines in his home......along with all those owned by his staff. Like an appliance doctor Fred has a great "bedside manner." They were having a sale the day we were there and the prices were very competitive with everywhere else that we had looked and fortunately without the delay of no inventory. We appreciated the no hassle shopping experience and were impressed with all the great appliances and selections that he has in store. Should we have a need for any other appliances we will shop HERE without hesitation. It was also great to meet Wazir and chat with both of you. Terrific store, don't hesitate...

I can not say enough good things about Smith Appliance and Fred, the owner. I purchased a new GE washer and dryer which was delivered yesterday. Both Chris and Tim were professional and did a great job taking out my old appliances and connecting my new ones. And it was a very tight space with which to work. The dryer had a slight unusual noise and Chris did make it sound better. The problem came when I did a load of wash. The noise was horrendous! I sent Fred a sound video and he called that night ( after hours). Today Fred came himself with one of his men...not to try to fix the washer - but to deliver a brand new washer and dryer! He installed and stayed until I did a load of wash and made sure I was 100% satisfied. Have never had this kind of customer service! Smith Appliance is my new “ go to”...
