Taking the ATV tour in Snowshoe was hands down one of the most exhilarating experiences of our summer! Trading the winter's snowy slopes for rugged summer terrains, the tour offered us a unique and thrilling perspective of the iconic ski resort.
Our journey began with a brief yet comprehensive orientation, ensuring even the least experienced riders among us felt confident. Then, as we mounted our ATVs, the adventure truly began. Traversing the very ski slopes that are bustling in winter felt both rebellious and awe-inspiring. The roar of the ATVs, combined with the serenity of the landscape, created an intoxicating mix of adrenaline and tranquility.
As we ascended, the panoramic views became increasingly breathtaking. Overlooking vast expanses of verdant valleys, dense forests, and the distant shimmering lakes, we often found ourselves stopping just to soak it all in. Each viewpoint seemed to outdo the last, offering postcard-perfect moments that our cameras could scarcely do justice.
What truly made this tour special was our guide. Knowledgeable, passionate, and with a keen sense of humor, they provided insights into the region's flora, fauna, and history, enriching our ride immensely.
In conclusion, the ATV tour in Snowshoe is more than just a ride; it's an immersion into nature's grandeur, an adventure of a lifetime, and an absolute must-do for anyone visiting in the summer. The thrill of navigating the iconic ski slopes, combined with the stunning vistas, makes this an...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I had high hopes for this place based on the other reviews we read, but we were unfortunately very disappointed. When we arrived, the place smelled terrible, like very old ammonia-based cleaning products. One of the couches was broken and tilted sideways. The microwave was unplugged since it was apparently sparking for the last people there. There were bits of food on all the dishes in the cabinet. The A/C unit was ancient and did not seem to work well. Everything in the place seemed like it was from the 1990s, such as a VHS player and large radio. Worst of all, the bed comforter was stained with dark spots, and when we asked for a replacement, they gave us an old blanket covered with long black hairs. I would 100% recommend spending a bit more money to stay in a nicer place. Your entire trip will be better off...
Read moreClosing before the season is over is a major pain to people who have rented rooms at Soaring Eagle expecting a ski-in/ski-out experience but find out this shop is closed and they have to go into the village - which was trying to be avoided. We had rented and paid for gear online, no refunds offered at all - even though they had not disclosed this location would be closed. Next time we will rent from the rental place that is physically connected to the Soaring Eagle Lodge (at the end of...
