August 22, 2024 Today my daughter, Carly and I along with our friend Michael had another Depot experience ..... We went fishing behind the Marshall Depot at the dam. Nice fishing spot for all ages. Very small easy walk to spot, which is level with a rock fire pit, sandy area close to River that is surprisingly well kept rather than over ran with litter. This is the place you want to visit! Such a quaint little town. The depot is really an old train station. Train track is right outside the building with a deck built going to it. Locals play music and sing. Good talent. Cakewalks are always fun. The highlight of our visit was winning the 50/50 which is half of what the establishment takes in on selling tickets for the drawing. We won $130. What a surprise. Good, clean fun. My partners and I just bought land in Marshall and are slowly building and moving out there. Wanted to check out The Depot and see what the community is like. Great atmosphere and energy.
