Super chill cafe in the heart of downtown Marshall. Art covers the space, folks were enjoying their coffees like it was a Saturday morning routine, and they were playing Bob Marley when I walked in.
I got the bagel with cream cheese, bacon, and tomato. The bagel was a bagel from a bag, Lender's style, so not artisan by any means, but it was fine. When nearly a year ago a co-worker told me that a Grammey award winner Blue Grass singer and fidle player from Bill Monroe's band played there Thursday nights. Bobby Hicks is his name and sure enough he is still at it at 83 or so and it is great. Staff there are very good a great team, the Zuma Coffee shop owner is just as friendly and greets guest coming and going. Food is great and priced right. Only I wish there was a no limit refill on the coffee, you're allowed one. If you like to dance to great music by very well talented muscians and eat great food. Meet nice friendly home town people then you don't want to miss Zuma Coffee...
