Bill's Ace Hardware — Local services in Martinez

I have been an Ace customer for years at all locations, but in the last year or so Martinez is closest and my favorite due to the staff. I have a couple of favorites, Mary of course, always goes out of her way to accommodate her customers not just me. She knows most of us by our first name or Company we are with. She is friendly, funny, fiesty and full of knowledge on anything in the store. I have also been helped by a tall older gentleman in the nuts and bolts area who found exactly what I needed in seconds, he's a keeper! Another man on the weekend, at almost closing time knew exactly what I needed to hold the insulation under the house up with, but didnt stock it so he ordered it! Came when he said and worked great. Maybe Greg, Craig, Glen ??? Only bad experience was today when I went to use the Carpet Cleaning Machine I rented last nite, it had not been cleaned by the last user and I didnt have time to clean it and use it before I was leaving work. Hope they dont charge me since I didnt use it! Otherwise I'm a happy Ace...

I’ve spent the past half an hour calling local hardware stores, trying to find a specific item. Nobody has it in stock. When I called this store, they also didn’t have it stock, but Brent (sales associate?) was the first person of all the places I called who actually offered to order it for me, and have it in stock by Tuesday. Yay for him! How do other stores expect us to not migrate over to Amazon if they don’t offer to order items for us? I’m happy to travel the extra mileage to Martinez for the customer service at this store. Brent was polite, helpful, and took initiative. I love it when salespeople do more than take up...

The Customer Service here is capitalized because this store values their customers! I always feel welcome and the employees actually WANT to help you! I've been to the Aces in walnut creek pleasant hill and I would rather drive further for better service. Both of those stores acted like they did not want me there at all. I appreciate this store's employees for maintaining a positive interaction with customers over the past several years!

As long as I live in this area, I will continue to Go out of my way...
