I was on vacation and had what would have been a minor emergency. I had developed a very small lump on my jaw and a partially numb lip and chin I went to this ER because it was the closest to where we were vacationing at. I was taken back and seen quickly but the doctor was either out of date or in too big of a hurry to properly assess me. The doctor ( I don't recall his name but was an older gentleman) took very little time to see me, did no bloodwork, or imaging. He diagnosed me with stones in my submandibular salivary gland and told me to eat sour candy and apply heat. I brought up the question that could it be an abscess and he quickly dismissed it but put me on a mild antibiotic to appease me. I followed his treatment for a week while I was on vacation completely miserable and continued to get worse. The doctor told me to make an appointment with an ENT when I got home if I hadn't gotten any better. Luckily I decided not to follow the doctor's advice and rushed to a top notch hospital in my home state. I was found to have multiple abscesses along my entire jaw that most likely spread further because of the heat compresses the original doctor prescribed. Instead of just having to take some heavy duty antibiotics I ended up having to have major surgery to clean out all the abscesses and to do that ALL of my teeth had to be removed. Now instead of a couple week recovery I'm looking at 4 to 6 months before I can have my teeth replaced with implants or dentures. I admit my teeth weren't in the best shape but they didn't need to be all removed until the roots were part of the abscess. Going to this ER has cost me dearly not only financially but emotionally and physically.....Honestly I wouldn't take...

My son and daughter in-law were here to visit from out of town. Their 5 year old son was complaining of having a sore throat and had a cough. He started to hack like there was something stuck in his throat so his mom and I being nurses looked into his throat and saw white pus sacks on his tonsils and a reddened throat. We thought it best he be seen Incase it was strep. It was late and all urgent care centers were closed so they decided to go to the closest Emergency Room. When they got to Morgan ER they were met with such rude staff members. The register person was the only one that treated them with any professionalism. My son said the staff stood outside my grandsons room complaining about why they would bring their son in with a sore throat and then other staff members burping outside their door and staff members laughing about the burp. They said the doctor came into my grandsons room with a very bad attitude questioning them about had they even tried Tylenol. My daughter in law said it wasn’t until the doctor actually looked into my grandsons throat and saw the white puss sack that he started to act professional with them. I am so disappointed in IU here in Morgan Martinsville. Never have we had this sore of treatment given to our family from them in passed visits. I would never as a nurse treat my patients such as they treated my family members. I will be following up with a conversation with the CEO of the IU Hospital for this matter to be dealt with. Very very poor...

NEVER go here. I’m 37 weeks pregnant and was up for 3 hours this morning (4/7/2024) throwing up, horrible back pain. I went there and told them I didn’t need my cervix checked since I went and had the done 2 days prior. I just needed zofran or something to help with my stomach and dehydration. The ER doctor checked my cervix and told me I was dilated to 8cm and they couldn’t find babies heartbeat. I have to have c sections so they drove me by ambulance to my OB in Greenwood. When I got there, they checked me and I wasn’t dilated AT ALL and baby had a super strong heartbeat they found instantly. This place is a joke and needs shut down. They also made me sit there for over an hour until the ambulance showed up and gave me no medicine. They aren’t equipped for anything labor and delivery related which is why I asked them to not check me. This is my 3rd pregnancy I know what contractions feel like I know I wasn’t having any and was just sick. They are useless and are basically just a decoration of a building...
