I WOULD NEVER ADVISE ANYONE TO USE THIS FACILITY! I have received reports regarding the behavior of the opposing team during a basketball game our 10 year old grandson played there 3-3-2016 it could only be described as nothing short of appalling,This behavior included a younger child sitting by their coach during the game until the last quarter at which time he put a jersey on him and sent him in to play while his team mates chanted "YOU COULDN'T EVEN BEAT A KINDERGARTNER"and when the game was over the team picked him up, carried him around the court and chanted "MVP" several times while our team stood by watching, when the referee was addressed concerning this matter, his response was "OH" THEIR JUST HAVING A LITTLE FUN", FUN? A better description would have been bullying and verbally and emotional abusive, SHAME ON YOU TO the people who are paid to supervise the adults, whose job description should include supervision to make sure children are not allowed to behave this way, with no consequences, the coach whose most important job is to teach healthy sportsmanship and respect towards others and the parents who allow this behavior as acceptable for their children, All the people involved who fell short to protect our children from enduring such experiences at a very young and vulnerable time in their lives, WHAT HAPPENED TO "TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExtremely disappointed with the "AAU" Wolves for girls. This club was the most unorganized group of people. The coach and assistant were merely children themselves. There was never any coaching or instruction. The assistant went to the huddle with a slurpie and giggled at the girls. There was never a schedule given to the players or parents. We were told of a tournament in Lexington 1 day in advance. The weekly game was played against a recreational league team that whipped balls towards the basket while standing with their back to the basket. Initially we were told that the season would run into late June early July. The last game or practice was over two weeks ago (mid-May). My daughter received a text last night stating that the season was over. The fee was $300 and the players were asked for an additional $10.00 for warm ups which they never received. When several parents confronted the coach with their disappointment the coach later admonished the girls for complaining to their parents. Please do not consider this group for your daughter's team. (I am confident that it was not an AAU league) This team was put together merely to fill the court and the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe set up walking in the door was ok. The facility seemed very nice with multiple courts. Having 1 tryout for 5 teams seemed a bit much. We sat down and was introduced. After we were told a coach was missing and no 3rd grade team at all, we dipursed to different courts for tryouts. It seemed very disorganized and the stickers they gave to label the kids were falling off and not visible. 1 coach was left to evaluate 21 kids in an HR. I don't think you can evaluate good talent like that. Not to mention he didn't seem very organized. In short I expected more. Maybe do less evaluations at one time so more eyes are watching and picking talent. This program needs a facelift. I have a good feeling my child got overlooked. If you can't get the help maybe it's best to have less tryouts or simmer down talent right there. If coach can see he's not good then separate them and...
