My main issue is with the customer service that I received after picking up my order that included a chicken salad BLT. During the ordering process, I requested the tomato on the side. Once I got the food home and opened my container, I noticed that the BLT didn’t have lettuce or bacon. The tomato was on the side so I will give them credit for that. So, I decided to call the restaurant to let them know that my BLT was missing the bacon and lettuce. The first person I spoke with was helpful and even offered to give me credit for a chicken salad BLT the next time I visited which I thought was a good compromise. A few minutes after speaking with the first person, I got a call from the manager (Kathryn) who wanted to let me know that the reason the BLT I ordered didn’t have the bacon and lettuce was because I didn’t select it for a sandwich that is literally called a BLT. My response was wouldn’t I have just ordered a chicken salad sandwich instead. That’s when things went left she decided to school on how to order “so that this will not happen again.” She continued to talk and talk, getting louder and louder so much so that others in the room with me could hear the conversation. My attempts to explain and defend myself which I should not of had to went on deaf ears since her goal was to make her point and educate me on how to order a chicken salad BLT. She even hung up the phone up on me. I did call back but this conversation wasn’t better. I even asked her to give me the opportunity to speak which of course she didn’t and continued to speak over me. In the end I asked to speak with the owner but was informed by Kathryn that the owner (Mike) didn’t keep regular office hours and that she would give him my name and number which I doubt. My advice is to avoid spending your money at this location and especially avoid dealing with...
Read moreThe staff was friendly and the place was clean. The menu is built on pimento cheese salad and chicken salad, plus some turkey sandwiches. This means that the cost to the company for their products is fairly low and preparation time is fairly short, thus the prices are kind of high for what they are providing. The food tastes fine but I did have a problem wherein I specified a food allergen I can't have and because the food allergen information they had was not easy to read for the product I ordered, I was given a product with that allergen I was given a product with that. When I took it back and ask the staff person to check again, it was discovered that it contained that allergen. I was offered a replacement that also contained the same allergen before the staff person asked somebody else and was able to provide me with a safe alternative. Sides include different types of salads and 3 soups, although I was only informed of two types of soups. They have small sugar cookies with buttercream on top that are overpriced and a few other items. Given the simplicity of what they offer, even though it tastes good, I won't return there because it's overpriced. On the bright side, because it's so easy to prepare ahead of time, your food can...
Read moreI have had Chicken Salad from here, but had not been actually in a Chicken Salad Chick before. First I heard of them was months ago and I was supposed to eat at the original one in Alabama in March, but a family emergency cancelled that Southern trip at the last moment.
The products served are delicious and there are many choices! Cranberry Kelly was my choice this time, on wheat. The Grape Salad was very good too.
Staff was friendly and we especially like the young man in training and how obviously hard he was trying after having only been employed there for a few weeks. At 59, I must admit, he looked about 9 years old, but I'm sure he was at least 11 - LOL
Get ya some Chick'n Salad here sson. Although not a huge Sweet Tea fan personally, I hear that is what they also do very well !
I'll be back and can't wait to see the next (more northern) franchise location open closer to Dayton on of...
