The food wasn't HoRrIbLE. We were looking for something online that could be quickly delivered to our home for dinner. After doing a google search for "restaurant delivery, mason, ohio" we came across the King Wok website. It's only 3 miles from us, and it was before the dinner rush, so I figured we'd give it a go. As soon as you go to the menu, what ever you pick pretty much goes straight to the cart, so the website was super easy to use. I've had my identity stolen before, so prior to completing the order, I called to verify it was a real place of business. The delivery lady answered and was so UNPROFESSIONAL! She laughed when I asked about the legitimacy of the business, so I explained myself. She was so condescending, but did, FINALLY, say that it only takes 10 minutes to complete the order and another 10-15 minutes to deliver. She also told me there were currently no other orders that had come through at that time. So I said, "Well, I'm placing my order now so I should see you in about 20 minutes." She then barked back and said, "No, more like 35-45 minutes." By then I was aggravated and I knew something was going to be wrong; but I am an "expect the worst, hope for the best" type, so I held my peace and said, "Oookay." and hung up.....after waiting 1 whole hour my buzzer rang right as I was picking my phone up to cancel. The girl standing there made me want to lose my appetite. She said the reason she was late was because they put the wrong address on the receipt, which I was able to verify. When she handed me my bag, there was excessive oil dripping all down and through the sides. There was oil in my steamed rice, oil on the fortune cookies, oil on the soy sauce packets. My order looked like it was just thrown together with absolutely no care at all. Everything looked half opened. After calling them to complain, an asian guy told me all the oil was from the egg rolls, which means they must not have been drained before he put them in the bag. He did offer me $5 for my dissatisfaction :/ My conclusion is this place is SLOPPY & MESSY! Nevertheless, we did eat the food and it wasn't horrible, but my customer...
Read moreSo...not great. I moved to this area about 5 months ago. There was a different place we used while living for years in Sharonville which was always great. Our group typically orders 3-4 apps and 1-2 entrees to split. The pork fried rice and egg rolls were basic. Cashew chicken was average. I would certainly not reccomend ordering the crab Rangoon or the wontons. The crab rangoons are (as far as flavor goes) mainly cream cheese, with occasional green onion flavor. None of us ever tasted any seafood flavor. The wontons were VERY crispy with very little filling or flavor in the middle. If it's a slightly over fried wonton strip flavor which you're after, then it's fine, but certainly not what we expected and not what we paid for. With the shared apps we ordered going mostly uneaten, this is not somewhere we will ever return to. Although the main dish and egg rolls were par for the course, when sharing all food with a group of people, it was a decent amount of...
Read moreI ordered the lo mein. It was very dry and had no flavor or hardly any Chicken tasted like day old noodles. I think they forgot to add the sauce while cooking. Called this order in for pickup. When I arrived they told me it would be a few minutes waited for ten minutes then they told me they couldn't find my order. They said they were very busy and had a lot of orders. I guess they forgot they made it because it was in the bag before I arrived. They also forgot add the sauce and chicken to my lo mein. What a waste of time, money and gas. Went to bed...
