Mathis Dental — Local services in Mathis

We have been going to Mathis dental for almost 2 years now. We've had good experiences with them prior to yesterday. They girls at the front were sweet as always. Previously they would always have my 2 kids checked out in separate rooms with x-rays bring done, then cleanings, then Dentist coming in. However yesterday after waiting in the overly packed waiting room with the kids sitting on the floor for an hour they were called into the same room in the back that seemed to be half way put together and was so small. They did my daughter's x-rays first then my sons. The lady doing the x-rays was pretty rude to my son as the clips didn't fit in his small mouth just right and he couldn't bite down all the way. She huffed and kept telling him no not like that no stop all while rolling her eyes... my son is 7 . Then came the lady that was cleaning their teeth. She seemed very annoyed the whole time kept making little rude off handed comments and she scraped my kids gums. Mind you the entire time I was sitting on the floor... in a dental office... because they didn't have a chair nor did they offer one for me to sit on. I finally asked a lady for one and she did happily get one for me. I don't know if we just got the ones who didn't want to deal with kids at the end of the day or what but as soon as the lady was done cleaning my kids teeth and I saw where she had scraped their gums and they were bleeding at I was done and I took them and left. Mathis Dental has been a blessing…Speaking for myself…there was always a fear of going to see a dentist…first experiences were not the best….so I put it off with all kinds of excuses…until the day comes and you can’t put it off any longer…I saw a dentist in Kenedy & one in Beeville before Mathis Dental…I will continue to go to Mathis Dental & I would recommend them to any one looking for a dentist…No more bad experiences…no more putting off going to the dentist…I don’t have to wait long to be seen at my appointment time. I love how I’m constantly asked if I’m okay or do I need a break while they are working on my teeth…it’s reassuring to know I do have control over my dental experience…It’s been easier for me to keep my five or so appointments knowing I’m in the best skilled hands of Mathis Dental. I had to get a crown and have had nothing but trouble and pain with the temporary and now they put in the permanent crown and I'm in excruciating pain. I told them multiple times it felt too big and they keep taking it in and out to adjust it. I'm in so much pain now!!! 😫 I have never had this much problem with getting a crown before. I paid a lot of money out of pocket for this and all I got for my money is more discomfort and pain. They won't answer their phone so I can talk to them and told me when I left to call if I had problems. Never getting work done there again. I'm adding an update: I went back and they were very nice and the dentist did some more adjustments on the crown. It still hurts some when I chew, but not as bad as before. Hopefully it will get...
