NO WHERE NEAR RIGHT! BUT a sign of the times! I witnessed a couple who had paid for their gas with a credit card, the computer had generated a receipt saying this, but then somehow wiped the transaction clean from the system. The staff was unable to give the couple the gas they had already paid for because the system said the transaction did not exist! It's getting to be amazing how human beings are not able to undo or do anyting just because the computer screen says or does not say so! The fact that no one in so-called power at this establishment was able or willing to help these people astonishes me! The only reason they can give these people was that they updated the system recently and have been having problems with it every since. The only relief they could give these people was the money will be put back on their card within 24 to 48 hours. This translates to risk swiping your card again and have another charge taking off your card but no gas or sit here for a minimum of 24 to 48 hours for your money to be put back on your card originally! Every system has a bypass or an override that way it can help the establishment, but when it comes to helping out fellow human beings there's nothing I can do is all it is said these days! I don't know if I'll ever come back to this particular Travel Centers of America?

First, the mechanic was treating our equipment like trash, driver went out and told him to ease up a bit, the mechanic proceeded to yell at the driver and be rude. Second, needed an airbag for the truck. Driver tried asking what the prices were but they would NOT disclose the prices. Driver started shopping around and said he was going to Loves but it was only $190 for the off brand bag, TA INSISTED they could do it cheaper with the off brand bag. Driver said okay, and decided to stay. After truck had already been worked on and put back together, they did not disclose any pricing or review of the work until the driver would pay. Come to find out, TA marked up their off brand airbag to $295 before labor! After the driver was very polite and stated that they said they could do it cheaper, manager said, āthatās just the price nothing I can do since the work is done and paid forā and he walked away. Unfortunately, the technician named James installed the wrong filter (a Cummins filter instead of a Volvo filter) and forced it into place, causing serious damage to my filter housing and metal shavings in the system. At first, the shop tried to deny responsibility and play games instead of owning up to their mistake. After pushing back, they finally agreed to fix the damageābut only after I refused their offer to install cheap aftermarket parts. I insisted on original Volvo parts, which they eventually provided. Because of their mistake, my truck was broken down at their facility for three days, which cost me valuable time and lost work.
