Maui Greens Market — Local services in Maui

My cousin told me of this market a few weeks ago when I asked her where in the world she found a specific veggie I've been searching high and low for.

ATMOSPHERE: The market is located in the L-shaped industrial building that houses Maui Specialty Chocolates and other businesses. Parking was plentiful. The inside is a no-frills warehouse space and isn't air conditioned.

MERCHANDISE: The majority of the goods are Filipino-based, but they also sell a few Japanese and Hispanic items as well. But what I came for was the fresh produce and found what I was looking for. What was it? I am not telling but I found it! It's really a farmer's market so the produce was affordable and fresh.

SERVICE: Cashier service was quick and mainstream.

TIP: No AMEX or personal checks accepted.

This is a nice little market selling Asian foods; mostly Filipino that may be hard to find elsewhere. I was looking for Jicama for some Thai spring rolls I wanted to make and was so happy to find them at Maui Greens Market after checking Foodland and Safeway and not finding them. The staff are very nice here and remember their customers because when I got home I realized that they had not put the lotion I had bought in the bag when I checked-out so I went back the next day and they had the lotion by the register...

Customer need to be careful before buy the item and remember to asking for receipt this store always charges double tax for you item, first they ask you pay cash so they only charge Hawaiian tax like all the store you usually shopping but if you pay credit or debit card besides paying the Hawaiian tax they will ask you to pay the credit card tax and that tax will go to they pocket, that like you lost 5% more for nothing and this can be report to the Maui...
