Easy Camping Maui — Local services in Maui

My friend and I are not very experienced campers, but wanted to explore the diverse climates and natural places in Maui over the course of a 9 day vacation. We started out with another camping company, and were disappointed in the quality of the gear and the age of car, which ended up having trouble starting -- unacceptable for a trip in wild areas! We found Easy Maui Camping quickly and easily, and within three hours of walking into their store, we had a pristine, new model Subaru Ascent with incredibly low mileage and an expertly assembled roof tent, in addition to all the camping gear we needed.

In contrast to our first experience, Mo and team were communicative, and actually walked us through the equipment and how to use it. They were also easily accessible throughout our trip, which was important for us as two women traveling in an unfamiliar place. They accommodated a last-minute request for an extension with ease. I recommend this company to anyone looking to camp in Maui.

We had the best Maui experience with these guys! Loved our Tacoma with camper, so much better than a van. Lots of space and we could easily lock up all our stuff while hiking. Rooftop tent was super spacious (size of a king bed plus) and comfortable with an open roof option so you could just lay back and check out the stars. All of our gear was provided and everything well stocked. Place was easy to find. They showed us how to open up the tent before heading out. Hung out in the new shop to recharge our phones waiting for our Lyft to the airport. Customer service, prior to arriving and when we got there, was awesome and helpful. Better than expected, and the kids (teenagers!) loved it. Oahu family who wanted to experience Maui instead of just staying at a resort. Camped at Hosmer Grove, Kipahulu, and Wainapapa. This is a great local business! I forgot to pack my hiking poles for my trip to Maui and I was able to rent some here for a super reasonable price, less than the cost of buying new ones. The ones they gave me were brand new and worked great. The guy at the store was really helpful and nice, and checking them in/out was fast and easy. The location is right next to the airport so it was very convenient to both pick them up and drop them off. I was so pleased not to have to buy a new set and haul them home in my luggage!

I only needed hiking poles but I noticed the store has all kinds of equipment. Like basically everything you might need for many different types of camping, from tents to freeze-dried food. They also had little useful things like pocket knives and it was clear a lot of thought went into what inventory might be needed by hikers.
