JCPenney — Local services in Maumee

I usually do not shop at this location given that the couple times I have gone into this store I am racially profiled. However, a friend of mine and me were out seeing a movie because Fallen Timbers is where we like to go and I had a coat to return that I had received for the holidays. Tonight, as I was trying on a different coat to possibly get as an exchange for the one I had returned it was of no surprise when I found security coming in. The security officer walked into the store came straight to the womans section where my friend and I were in (yes we were the only ones over there,) & walked right back out the door. It was made very clear they were suspicious of our presence & it was without any proper cause. Honestly, it was very offensive and I feel it's sad a fellow moor as myself and my friend can not walk into stores such as this one without having to deal with being followed or accused of...

I have been shopping at JCPenney for years. I recently moved to Ohio and visited the Fallen Timbers store on Saturday, 9/6. I was greeted upon arrival and even during my shopping was asked by an associate if I was finding everything ok. Waiting in line for checkout, I witnessed a conversation between Laura and an older gentleman who appeared to be having difficulty with a billing issue. Laura was so very patient and kind, explaining things and making sure the man understood. Afterwards, she even helped direct the man to the area of the store he needed next. It was so refreshing to see this - human kindness and great customer service. Both have been lacking in this country and it is a shame. Definitely not like it used to be. I am a very big fan of JCPenney stores! The staff are very accommodating and helpful. They really go out of their way to make sure they try to get you whatever you're looking for! The parking lots are clean, well-lit, and I feel safe walking back and forth to the store from my vehicle. Inside the store the aisles are spacious, lots of bright light, and mannequins dressed in modern fashions are strategically placed throughout the store. The quality of shoes and clothing and jewelry have always been exceptional. And they can tend to have great discounts and clearance sales. No matter what your age from newborn through a hundred years old I think I could find what I want at JCPenney stores with the help of their knowledgeable staff. And they are...
