Flatrock Distillery & Bistro — Restaurant in Maumee

YOU NEED TO GO TO FLATROCK ASAP! Before diving into food and drink I want to touch on the service, our waitress was incredible…courteous and polite, insightful about the menu, and checked in on us throughout our meal to make sure we were okay without being too over bearing! Started off the night with a lavender infused lemonade which was probably the best lemonade I’ve had in recent memory. As for food, I ordered the Garlic Butter Steak Tips, which came served over jasmine rice with mixed greens on the side. Steak Tips were tender and flavorful, just the right amount of garlic butter not too overpowering. But the real star of the show…the truffle chips. Kettle chips so they had a great crunch, subtle truffle flavor, with Parmesan dusted on top…out of this world! Please if you are looking for a delicious meal stop by Flatrock at Fallen Timbers, you won’t be disappointed! We will definitely be back again to explore more...

My girlfriend and I frequent breweries and distilleries so when we heard about this place we had to stop in and give it a try. We sat at the bar and talked with the bartender, who turned out to be the owners wife. She was she very friendly and answered all of our questions about the processes of being a distillery and their history. We had a few cocktails and their house made bourbon on the rocks, which to me was on the sweeter side for a bourbon but I still enjoyed it. My girlfriend ended up buying a bottle to take home before we left. We will be back to try the food soon because it looks very good! The BBQ burger, while it didn't look too big at first glance, left me plenty full. The patty was thicker than I thought, dense, and very juicy. You can tell they use good quality meat. The BBQ sauce had a great smoky taste, loved every bite. I got a Caesar salad as a side, which was also excellent, and so I didn't try the truffle chips. I absolutely will next time I come here though, it's definitely worth going!
