North Coast Appliance — Local services in McKinleyville

The North Coast Appliance staff were really knowledgeable and helpful. They listened to what we were looking for in a refrigerator and talked us through the various options. They didn't try and upsell us. Their delivery and install is cheaper than other competitors. We will definitely be looking at North Coast Appliance next time we need another appliance :)

We live in Eureka and are lazy about driving but it was worth it to drive to McKinleyville because they were helpful over the phone, and then in the showroom and we were able to see one of the refrigerators. All the store staff were wearing masks and it felt very safe during covid. There was also an air purifier running.

Really great experience with all the North Coast Appliance staff on the phone, in the store, and with the installation at our house. It's definitely worth looking into them, I know there are other competitors locally that are also good but make sure to check them out too. All the local places were busy and doing their best, and when we ended up going with North Coast Appliance they added us to the delivery schedule for that afternoon since we had no working refrigerator. That was really appreciated because it was pretty much a mess realizing our refrigerator was broken, getting a repair person (everyone's busy and booked out), buying ice bags for the fridge trying to salvage some of the food, finding out it's unrepairable, and then having to buy a new one. Recently we were in the market to replace a vintage late 1940s or early 1950s gas stove. We chose North Coast Appliance because we have purchased appliances from them before.  The level of service we have always received is exceptional. These are folks that you can trust in helping to make good choices.

My wife and I went  to the store and talked to Josh the owner on what type of range/oven would work best for us. Josh took plenty of time to show us the  various options and price points. One thing I loved since I am the family chef was the questions he asked us. He wanted to know more about what and how I cooked and what  kind of cookware I used.  When I told him I loved using my carbon Wok I learned we had something in common.  Also found out  that he is a really good cook. To me these were all very important factors in helping us make a decision.  Because of my frequent use of a Wok we selected a ZLine 36” Stainless Steel Pro Style Duel Fuel Range. We love the six burners which  range from 4200 to 18000 BTU.  We also like the large electric oven and the ball bearing commercial grade racks.  We also bought a Zephyr under cabinet range hood which has the needed power for when I am cooking with my Wok.

Having now used our ZLine for 3 months we could not be happier. It really is a high performance product at a reasonable price. We really appreciate how easy it is to clean the range top and the oven. I had the best experience with North Coast Appliance! I just moved to Humboldt and needed a washing machine, dryer and refrigerator. I was happy there was a local business to provide these things rather than having to use a big box store. From the minute I entered the showroom, I was greeted by Derrick (I think?) and he was informative and very cordial. I was able to brows the showroom appliances and get a feel for what I wanted. EVERYONE I encountered in the showroom was friendly, helpful and informative. Since the refrigerator I wanted was not in stock, they ordered it for me and in the meantime they provided me with a loaner fridge that they delivered at the same time they brought my new washer and dryer. I'm sorry I don't remember the names of all the people who helped me in the showroom. Today my new refrigerator was delivered by NIck and Evan. They called me when they were five minutes out. They were friendly and professional. They were extremely careful to be mindful of the walls and cabinetry. They removed the loaner fridge without spilling a drop of water in the house! Evan made certain to bleed the water line to expel sediments before hooking up the waterline to the icemaker. They were extremely careful about placing the counter depth refrigerator correctly, removing every spec of packaging, and inspecting every inch carefully when they were finished. They were just so nice, and so professional and respectful. I can't recommend this business...
