This is my local and favorite Starbucks. The service is always excellent and timely, as well as the food and drink. Thank you!!
People often wonder why Starbucks has been so successful, I don't. Awesome service, an employee and customer oriented culture and great CONSISTENT products, that continue to improve and evolve. It is a no brainier for me. But THE REAL KICKER is the I don't have to do anything but reload my registered card and use it to earn free drinks, and then the real important part. I don't have to do anything but tell the barista that I want to redeem a reward at check out and "wah la" I have a free drink.
Absolutely ingenious. In my opinion one of the reasons Starbucks is so successful is that they set customer convenience as a priority. I don't have to remember my stinking punch card, that I forget in the car every time to earn free drinks. No they keep track of it for you. All I need is my registered card or my app "that works really well by the way" and I am racking up the free drinks.
One of my friends says she hates Starbucks because they put the ma and pa businesses out of business. I look at her and say when ma and pa do what Starbucks does for their customers then they will have a gold mine as well. Instead the ma and pa stores hope you forget your punch card so you don't earn that free drink in 1 out of 10 drinks purchased, cause in their thinking that free drink hurts their bottom line. When actually the volume in which you purchase that drink at full price will and does create abundance in their bottom line. Like I said it is a no brainer. My hat is off to...
Read moreI actually wasn't in Starbucks I was next door at the tobacco shop. I love Starbucks and the products and I love that they help the homeless with hot water and ice water sanitation. But I had a little bit of a super humiliating day when I went in there I was so excited a friend had given me a $10 gift card so I was going to get me a nice cup coffee large straight up no sugar no cream and a breakfast sandwich yummy buttery top shelf cheese yum yum and I'm so kind and went in the restroom and wash my hands up and came back out get my order and it was a small cup of coffee I had ordered a large they said they could fix it and I was like no that's okay just you know adjust the gift card accordingly so you can have a bigger tip., I had given a dollar fifty that I had in my pocket at the tip as well and then the change from the gift card., When I went out to eat my breakfast sandwich and drink my coffee coffee was cold just been around not cold but just Cupid. And I don't know where they got that breakfast sandwich. My budget is such that I have to camp in my car for a little while get settled on this relocation back to humble I'm so happy to be doing even with a small budget the community is great but the prejudice that we get is to shameful. I was very very sad that day. Love the products just don't like being made to feel like I deserve that squished up dirty sandwich. I'm happy to be relocated back here in this community but it worries me that our fellow community members are treating other fellow community members in such a way. Sorry for the rent but my phone asked me how my trip was so...
Read moreIssues. Having worked at a Starbucks in NY I know that this place has training and management issues. Let's start by addressing the fact that there is often five or six people on staff and not one is standing at the register as a line forms. Second, the baristas often forget to ask for a name for your order and DO NOT CALL OUT NAMES WHEN SERVING DRINKS. They just set the drinks out for customers to guess. I've had a number of people touching my drink thinking it was theirs or actually just taking it and leaving. Third, order a pour over coffee and the barista will start serving you at the checkout counter, um no thanks. I don't need to transact money while you are pouring coffee and cream. Fourth, the manager, or franchisee as I assume, does not offer the correct training to her staff. Starbucks has insane training in coffee and tea brewing in order to ENSURE CONSISTENCY AROUND THE WORLD. There is no consistency other than drinks being inconsistent and terrible. I love chocolate, but I order a grande mocha and I'm choking. Why? Because the cup was only about 3/4 full and still fully sweetened. Ugh. This place is a failure in terms of product and service and reflects poorly on the Starbucks corporation. Last, but definitely not least, this parking lot has the biggest pothole in Humboldt county and is definitely a driving hazard and could possibly be a sanitation problem too as it is next to a church that provides overnight space for...
