Update 8/23 My car is still inoperable and needs the entire engine replaced since the mechanic found metal particles in the oil pan. Now I have a quote in my hand for a replacement engine and the regional director has been ghosting me and everyone (corporate headquarters, customer service line, local manager at this store) is saying he will get back to me with an answer. And answer for what? Pay for the replacement engine so we can be done with this after more than two months.
Update as of 7/30 My car has been inoperable since I left this NTB location on 6/26.
It was in a dealership from 6/26 until 7/26 for repairs. On 7/26 the dealership asked us to come return their loaner vehicle because NTB is not willing to pay for the second stage of the repairs at this time and they have not been quick to cooperate, which is why the repairs took that long in the first place. NTB paid for the first stage of repairs, which was: cleaning up the oil that sprayed all over the bottom of the vehicle and replacing the breather valve. There are more repairs needed before the car can be driven; but NTB is not agreeing to the cost of the repairs and trying to use (a non-Audi Master Mechanics) to get a second opinion.
We ourselves called another Audi Service location nearby, and also an independent Audi certified mechanic, and they both responded that the steps they would take are the same and the cost was warranted because the engine was damaged due to the subpar oil change by NTB.
At some point between the car being brought back to their location on 6/26 and the time it got towed to the dealer on 6/26, NTB (against our firm direction not to touch the car at all) overfilled the engine with oil by 4-5 quarts and caused further possible damage to the engine, according to the Audi Service written assessment.
The car has been towed in front of our house until we can get NTB to get it towed to our certified Audi mechanic and pay for the rest of their diagnostic and repairs, or any other resolution they will present. They’re already starting to low ball us in the replacement cost of our vehicle if it comes to that. We offered NTB to bring their own mechanic to work alongside ours, so we can keep this going at a reasonable pace because so far trusting NTB’s word and actions have been demonstrably hard to do.
We were told today (after emailing, calling and texting them first) that we would be contacted by the regional manager tomorrow, 7/30, but were originally told that they contact us on Monday, so we’re standing by.
35 days and counting….
Original review from 6/26: I went today for a 5pm oil change and left there at 6:33pm. I started driving on tollway when my AC stopped blowing cold air so I pulled over and noticed my car making a grinding noise. I pulled into a parking spot to discover engine oil has been pouring out of my car since I left. My car threw out an error code to immediately turn off the engine and I had to get a tow truck. They ruined my engine with what should have been a simple oil change. I will be there at 8:00am tomorrow to deal with it and I am not stopping until this is resolved and they’re held responsible.
Last two pictures shows the oil stains in the NTB parking lot from when they handed me the car. You can follow the trail or me backing up and pulling onto Eldorado. The front desk guy from the night before who brought my car over walked out to the parking lot with me and said “yeah, that is where I pulled up your car since we were closed already, I didn’t even have to put it into a spot evenly”. He was just as shocked as I was to find that that’s how my car was...
Read moreThe most unpleasant experience today. I was not greeted in a kind manner and was talked to as if I was a child by the older gentleman who works the front desk. He was extremely rude as always.
I went in to check on a possible tire leak (from a tire I purchased from NTB). I have gone there multiple times to have the tire checked for a leak, and the same RUDE man always says I need an appointment. That's fine, and I still ask to have air put in the tires. They always put air in the tires, and it is always one specific tire that needs to be checked (the one I purchased).
Today, I had the tires checked, and no mention of the one in question. All of a sudden, the extremely rude gentleman calls my son to show him a nail in the tire on one that I did not buy from them. My son did not see an actual nail.
First of all, it is my car. My son was not supposed to be involved. I truly believe the nail was not there prior to our arrival. I also asked the tech, who pulled the car around, to show me the nail and he couldn't find it. He was not even searching for a nail on the sidewall of the tire. If the nail was not on the sidewall, why did they not offer to patch it.
I have had SO MANY bad experiences with his location. It isn't even the techs that I have a problem with. It is the person who greets you and is just absolutely mean. Maybe because I am a...
Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, FIND ANOTHER TIRE STORE!!!! Honestly I would give them 0 stars if I could. I ordered a Michelin tire because as one of the 4 I had went bad and they did not have what I needed, and then when I came in the tire was gone!!!! So, we ordered it AGAIN they called I went in they put on an "Off Brand" tire and told me "oh, its the same as a Michelin"!!!! Even the tread pattern was different and I have never heard of SAILUN tires, so they were told to get it off of my truck, Then "William" told me well thats the tire that came on my truck when it was built!?!?!?! I Ordered my truck from the Factory and ordered it with Michelins so he had no idea what he was talking about. THEN they put on the Michelin tire ECECT it was a Passenger car tire and not the LT (Light Truck Tire) which I ordered and again "William" told me it WAS the LT tire, So I had to tell him to check the weight rating on the tires and THEN he figured out that it was a Passenger car tire, SO AGAIN they had to order the tire and I will go back ONE LAST TIME to get my tire and NEVER go back to a NTB store again, I suggest that you to do the same. I did file a complaint with Corporate and told them that the customer knows more about tires then their staff. I expect a call from a regional...
