UPDATE 6/20/23: After posting my review, the manager who is familiar with me, reached out offering to correct my nails at no charge, with another tech who was more on the level of the tech I liked. Unfortunately, after my last visit there, my toe was red, swollen and painful. I also had a cut on my cuticle, leaving me in no shape to want to return. I also was frustrated that this amazing tech was not recommended 5 visits ago! I have seen her there since I started going to Kosmo so she is not new.
I requested a refund instead. I never heard back from them, nor did I receive a refund. Disappointing after spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars with them. Too many new people who don't know what they're doing. This place was nice when I first found it but now its just a factory. Definitely will not be returning.
I ended up here after trying 3 other nail salons in Mclean. Initially, service was great because I found a nail tech who was amazing. She left abruptly, for reasons unknown to me. I have tried at least 6 other techs after her departure and have yet to find someone who can do a good job. The last nail tech put 6 layers of dip on my nail. When I asked her sand it down because it was so thick and clumpy, she said it was because of my small nails. Massages are never as long as what is listed in the description of the pedicure. The guy at the front desk is very accommodating, which is appreciated. But this nail shop is not cheap. I expect more for the prices they charge and for being in Mclean. Time to find...
Read moreI got a gel mani and pedi here not even 2 weeks ago right before my trip to Italy. I noticed there were a few toes that had not been applied smoothly, but didn’t have time to sit through them fixing anything (store was also closing) and I was leaving the next day. I could live with it. When we landed on day one, I took off my shoes to see one of my toes had peeled off. I called today to ask to get another mani and if they could please fix that one toe. I explained the situation. I was told that since I didn’t call I would have to pay for my toe to get repainted. Was the expectation for me to take time out in Italy, and tell you my toe had peeled off? How would that have helped me? I landed a day ago, and thought let me get a new mani and request that they fix my toe that lasted a day. I don’t mind paying a couple of bucks to fix a toe, but why would you even bother a customer with that when they still chose to give you their business regardless of doing an average job to begin with. A curtesy of taking a few minutes to fix the toe and moving along would have been nice. I do not recommend. Did not stand by their customer for a few bucks. Left a terrible impression, will find a...
Read moreIt was okay, I did have to leave mid manicure that left me with two hangnails and I had to fix with my own stuff because they tried to tell me that it’s not normal to put a base coat on for a French nail and only wanted to put base coast under where the white tip would go… after I tried to explain they then wanted to paint sideways the base coat I finally convinced them they needed. Once this was done I asked for her to remove it and i would be leaving. It wasn’t worth my hassle to ask for any refund because they had done most of the manicure just not painted. And the pedicure though it was...
