Hot Wheels Skate Center LLC — Local services in McMinnville

September 3rd went here in the afternoon with my daughter for her birthday. Got in for $8dollars which included the skate rental. We went to get the skates at the rental desk, 3 staff members, 2 who made eye contact, standing less than 4-7 feet from me ignored us both. I stood and waited for them to finish talking about their personal lives, until I couldn't wait anymore. And said "hey, sorry, we need to rent some skates". As soon as I said that one of the guys walked away and the girl left as well. We got the skates but, the laces on my daughter's skates were in major need of replacement, they were falling apart so bad they barely hung on by a strand at the area where it gets the most tension from being tied. Skates had to be adjusted because my daughter kept falling due to the wheels being too tight. I spent $20 on arcade games and about half of that money went into machines that either stole the money or didn't give us the tickets my daughter had earned. So many of the games were out of order or ripping us off that I told my daughter I wasn't spending another quarter on anymore games. Those games are also incredibly expensive. I assume they know that most of them are broken to some degree or another and yet leave them that way so they can collect money on these rip off machines. The place needs major deep cleaning and equipment repair in the worst way. We got a soda out of the machine. And I spent a total of $30 dollars. $20 of which on the arcade games and that will never happen again. I brought 1 child here. I'm very glad I didn't bring all 5 of my kids where we would likely buy food and games, because that kind of money for this kind of experience would have been much more frustrating. I hope they figure out a way to improve on these points...

We recently moved from FL to McMinnville.. thought we would come check out the local skate rink as that was one of our favorite times in Fl. I am not impressed at all! The Floors need a complete re-do as do the carpets on the walls. All of the games are old, gross and steal your money or don't give you the tickets you won, also are cash/quarters only. The music choices are horrible. Nothing you'd want to jam and skate to. They don't allow you to skate too fast and pass people, the staff will whistle to you to slow down. They play Limbo and a crap speed race. Old ice cream was served and they were out of most fountain sodas. My family and I will NOT be back! What a shame. So much potential here! Mcminnville can do...
