Three Star Cinema — Local services in McMinnville

This is an enjoyable place to go see a movie. It is dated but let me explain. The ticket counter will except cards however the snack bar inside is cash only. The prices are reasonable on the tickets and for the items at the snack bar. The popcorn was excellent. I recommend sticking with the medium or large when it comes to the drinks or popcorn. For only a dollar more, it's a big difference. The theater has a great picture and sound. I guess the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the seating. They are all attached together like your at a play and for a bigger guy like myself it is just a little uncomfortable. For an hour and a half move I'm good but not much longer than that. Otherwise for a small town movie theater you wont find one better than this one. My family will definitely be back for another movie soon... Now pass me...

A small theatre stuck in the 80s. The charm and nostalgia of seeing a movie in such a theatre is overridden by the lack of desire to appeal to today's moviegoers. No Fandango association. Only two credit card readers IN THE ENTIRE THEATRE. So if you are at the concession stand, need to swipe a card, you'll have to wait until the ticketing is done. Who carries cash anymore? No Dolby Surround so the audio doesn't carry around the theatre, it stays down front. No cupholders in chairs that are original to the building. Would give it 5 if I wasn't about to smack the kids in the back for talking the entire time. Gonna need those security guards to come shut people up like they did when we were kids or ill have to make a mess lol. Other than that, Great. Clean.. great value compared to surrounding cities.
