While on my way to refreshing my tired website - something I'd been dreading since the first Obama administration - I ran into Ashton and Katie from Websites in a Flash. It was a serendipitous encounter and I couldn't have been happier with the process or the deliverables.
Ashton and Katie had all of the attributes that I find critical to success and important in a business partner engagement. They are responsive, smart, nimble, knowledgeable, funny, willing to laugh with me (it was with me, wasn't it??), tech savvy, aligned with my vision, active listeners, available . . . they took on this project like the pros that they are and walked me through all that has changed since my last dip into coding, when Fortran was still in vogue. Who knew that Adobe Flash was no longer supported? Well, I did, but I didn't have a clue what to do about it! Team WIAF took care of me and graciously accommodated my lack of knowledge, pretending that I knew what I was talking about, then going back behind the WordPress curtain and producing / modifying / suggesting / tweaking a fabulous new website. Together they have superb technical expertise and design mastery, while their suggestions for things like changing my hosting platform were value-add actions.

Our old website was limited with most of our item info and events being listed on a POS specific store. One goal of the re-write was to capture all of the info on our own website. We use a POS system specific to wineries that recently released an API to pull items. WiaF utilized this feature to display everything on our website rather than only showing items on the POS specific store. Since it was a new API, there were some hurdles which WiaF worked directly with the vendor to overcome. Overall, I am pleased with our new site and the process...
