In my opinion the jury is out on this one. I've been there twice. The food is good! The staff is friendly. Service...hopefully they'll get the bugs worked out soon. During my first visit the lady was nice but very distracted downloading her electronics using the Cafe's Wi-Fi. She has no Wi-Fi at home so understandable but came at a cost of attention to her customers. Price of breakfast was a little high but I did enjoy the food. The second time I only wanted to take out an order of hash browns. I had been told breakfast is served until 11:30am. Having called numerous times to place an order only to have an answering machine pick up. No call back. Okay, it's Sunday, perhaps they were very busy. So I drove there, 7 miles from my house, arrived at 11:12 only to be told they changed breakfast cut off to 11am. I explained that I had been trying to place an order by telephone several times earlier in the morning. The lady told me she had changed the cut off to 11:00 a.m. and that "she needs to update their website." All I wanted was an order of hash browns. Seriously, how hard is it to throw some potatoes on the grill and cook them. It shouldn't matter even if the grill temperature might be different from breakfast to lunch. Once again I am disappointed with so-so customer service. I hope they take this feedback as 'constructive criticism' in order to help them work out the bugs. It would be really great to have an enjoyable...
Read moreIt’s a cute restaurant but that’s hardly enough to save the fact that the food is subpar. Ordered to-go & couldn’t have been more disappointed. I got a burger with tots to share with my significant other as we weren’t sure if we’d like the food. I asked for all the toppings to be on the side because I have an onion allergy and saw bad reviews about the produce on their sandwiches. When I got home (5 min away from the restaurant) I opened my food up to see that all of the toppings were on my burger, the cheese was sparse & there was so much mayo on both pieces of the bun that it was dripping all over. The pieces of pie I got were basically thrown into the box and hardly even looked like pie slices, but they did taste okay. Tots weren’t bad-but it’s pretty hard to screw up fried food. Not sure if I...
Read moreThe Riverside Cafe in Sheridan, Oregon provides a fun, small town setting to get a satisfying American breakfast in the middle of wine country. Whether you're just passing through or exploring the region, you should give this spot a try if you're looking for breakfast. I had the CFS (chicken fried steak), and an order of their french toast. Both met my expectations of what they are and didn't give me any reason not to return. The atmosphere is welcoming and I had a blast people watching as you have a great view of much of the tiny downtown area through the large streets or window. This also provides you a picturesque view of the bridge and river at the center of town. Service was prompt, friendly and professional. Stop on by. You'll...
