Norfolk, VA 061 12/20/2021 I am located in Norfolk, VA, so when my brother who lives in MA, told me I should look for my Nikon d3500 on line there, I figured what did I have to lose? Everyone else was out of stock. Sure enough Hunt's photo & Video not only had it in stock, but they had a real live person on their website chat to walk me through all my questions about the product, availability, recommendations on peripherals, and shipping. Matt, who has an icon of a cat, came up on line right away, was exceptionally intelligent on all their products and knew the d3500 like he built the thing! or so it seemed to me. Needless to say, I made the purchase, paid for shipping. Matt was even the person doing the packing and setting up the UPS pick up. The camera arrived in VA unharmed, and exactly what I was looking for this Christmas. Matt even helped me again after delivery to go over some of his recommendations on what items I should get as an initial start up. Fantastic customer service, great inventory, even when everyone else is out of stock, Hunt's Photo & Video came through. I don't see why I would buy from anyone...
Read moreUpdate: I would like to give a shout out to Hunt's Photo & Video. They reach out to me directly to share their apologies for my experience. Where they stood out here was that they acknowledge and personally apologized for the moment. This is the customer service style I appreciate. No doubt i am easily critical of Customer Service and Food Quality(they don't serve food) in this day an age; two things you can't technically return. My first experience back in October was exceptional; hence why I went back in January. With that, thank you the personal touch was much appreciated.
------------------In all fairness, i should have written this review last weekend post my visit. However, i did not like the middle aged man's utter lack of interest in helping me. Upon my arrival to pick up an online order, I walked up to the counter to asked if this is where i pickup my online order ($670 used lens). He looked around with a disturbed attitude and then back and DOWN, 'yes, i suppose'. I had also brought in some lens to see about selling them. I asked him if this is through him too, got the same kinda of attitude suppose so. He goes gets the lens puts it on the table checks me out all with an attitude of ME disturbing HIS day. He also doesn't make any attempt to 'show' the lens to give the impression of hey you are buying a quality used lens from us. Coldy looks at me, and asks, Anything else? i say NO and left. Why bother to try to purse to sell back the lens i brought if i am going to have to deal with his attitude any longer.
I am not saying someone has to be Mr Happy Chipper, but i will not be treated as if i am a BOTHER. Point take: I came in to buy $670 lens. Three months ago i bought a new camera for $2460. Leaving that day, I am already a +$3k customer. Definitely no way to get me to a $5k or $7K customer given how much lenses cost and how i still...

I ended up repurchasing my lens via hunts and they had it in hand, checked to be new, no recall on the lens, and ready to go with the option to get it to me tomorrow morning or with a discount for the troubles. It was extremely generous considering in the end this was an amazon delivery issue as we found out, and I am very glad to have met this wonderful store through the process. Future purchases will be going here!
UPDATE: After speaking with Richard Yagjian and Chris Borto directly via email, and sending them closely inspected images of the box, they determined that the box was bought and returned to amazon prior and that it was never checked via Amazon. I appreciated their timely response as well as them being able to determine that this wasn't some fast one I was trying to pull so that my account on Amazon wouldn't take the hit for someone else's shady business. Very much appreciated.
Sadly though as Amazon is representing Hunt's in this situation, I will miss the shoot date I had ordered this lens for and have to rent from Adorama in the interim before I can purchase the lens again. So I will give this entire situation and crappy scenario a 4/5, tacking one star for having to spend extra on a rental and having to deal with a stomach dropping experience of receiving a fake 1400$ lens. I received a sealed box, Sony never seals their boxes for lenses. This was the first indicator that something was wrong. At first I was like YAY Hunts Photo and Video goes the extra mile. Nope, even being sealed with THEIR stickers from THEIR STORE, inside the 1400$ lens box was 2 bottles of soy milk. The ole bait and switch, which now makes me look the idiot for having to report...
