Hollywood Feed — Local services in Memphis

I walked in this place and was asked by every employee did I need help finding anything at first I thought they were just being nice but after a while it kinda got irritating I looked around and noticed that I was the only African American customer in the store aside from a few white customers all of which were not being bothered or constantly pestered about what they needed help finding as oppose to a secondary way of also being stereotypical by asking me this question while looking down at my pockets to see if im shoplifting just so you guys know all black people don't steal I've been shopping at Hollywood feed for almost 10 years and I've never encountered such racist behaviour yea I may look like a thug but ima bit more than what meets the eye as you can see i was smart enough to blast you guys on Google and I hope that my fellow African consumers will consider shopping elsewhere where they can be treated equally and won't be judged by the color of their skin or any physical appearance for that matter you guys need to watch how you treat your black customers and stop following us around the store like we don't have money to buy what we want there are some rich thugs in Memphis in case you didn't know and we do have a powerful influence over our culture so be very mindful of your actions toward me and my kind.. the next time I'm in your store I will be live on a social platform that has thousands of viewers so that the world can see how you treat your black customers and we'll see how many times I'm asked "do u need help finding anything" from...

I would like to first say that I have always came to this store or the location on Union because they are both nearby me. The reason I am giving these three stars is because as I was just getting out of class on tonight not realizing that I needed to get my dog another toothbrush at the last moment and rushing up to this location to grab one so as I enter the store I am greeted by the lady at the register in a rude manner as if she is bothered I am coming in at the moment. I'm at this moment grabbing the toothbrush coming to the register because that was initially all I needed to get which wasn't much. As I approach the register I notice they are counting down their money so I'm standing there for a moment with no response then the rude lady again says if you have a card you can pay down there because our register is closed we are counting down. First off if you are counting down the safest way first and foremost would be to lock the doors therefore no one else will enter. That was awful customer service and the approach should have been more professional whether she was bothered or not with my coming in at that very moment. I will DEFINITELY reconsider coming to this...

My 4 year old and I love Hollywood feed. We shop there regularly but never at this location before. I usually shop at the one in Southaven when visiting my mom or the one in Bartlett because it's close to my work. However, this location is close to our home. We tried it out a couple weekends ago. We were there looking for a less expensive alternative to what I've been buying because it seems the price goes up a bit every time I buy a bag. We walked up and down every single aisle, multiple times because I was comparing prices, sizes, brands, etc. Not one time does an employee speak to us. We are not greeted when we walk in, we are never asked if we need help with anything as I walk aimlessly down each aisle with my kid in tow, and no one asked to help carry the bag to my car. One of the main reasons I shop at Hollywood feed is the (typically) stellar customer service. It's one of the few places that no matter which location I frequent, the service is always great. This is not the level of service I've ever received at any Hollywood feed location. I will continue to use my lunch break to visit the one...
