Me and my wife passed this store many of times in our tractor trailer and finally had the chance to stop . Let me tell you this places coffee is out of this world. It's really roasty and taste like how coffee should taste . The woman who works here also bakes her desserts fresh . My wife and I had the coconut cream pie and it was simply perfect. Not super sweet to the point of making you sick , just sweet enough to make you want to eat more . You ever want to go back in time and eat at grandmas house again? Walk into The Cottage in Memphis Tx. Pick out a antique table that reminds you of your grandma’s then sit down in a old rickety chair. And then after you order you can walk around the store and before you know it. It ready and OMG best sandwich ever . I had the rostbeef with cheese, the house bacon dressing on a buttery croissant bun. It was like it melted in my mouth. We stopped in on our drive from Dallas to Denver for a coffee break. What a lovely spot!!..... and one of the best latte's ever!! The owner is very friendly, makes homemade desserts daily! They have a quaint dining room and warm inviting shop you walk through......with candles, rustic furniture & home decor. It smelled so good as we walked in I couldn't resist buying a candle. She can ship anywhere. If you are driving on hwy 287 through Memphis, Texas do yourself a favor and stop in, take a load off, and have some coffee, pie and helping of good ol' Texas...
