Poor customer service and was disrespected by 3 (including an assistant manager) of their employees.
My husband and I stopped here for food on our way back to CO. My husband had ordered a large drink and tots, but it was delivered as a med. My husband simply stated nicely the person that took the order should listen, but it's ok we'll go ahead and pay for it and gave the gal our money. She returned with our change, we got up, and started to walk towards the door to leave when one of the girls (Merari) from the back opened their little drive thru window on the inside and yelled "HAVE A NICE DAY!" and slammed the window closed. My husband turned around and walked back to the window requesting to speak with a manager. The assistant manager (Kaitlyn) came out, who appeared to be 18 or 19 years old, my husband began to explain what happened to the manager and the excuse we received was that she's 16 years old and probably doesn't know any better. While my husband and the manager were discussing the situation, Merari walked up to the window smirking and waving at him and he pointed it out to the manager and again, was given the excuse that she's 16 and doesn't know any better. We requested a refund so the manager took our bag of food and went in the back; my husband went over to Loves to see they had any information on who owns or the district managers number while I waited for the refund. As I was standing there holding our drinks and waiting for the refund, another gal came out and started saying (IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS) to show some respect, the girl (Merari) is 16 years old. I had said how about y'all show some respect to your customers and spelled out the word. The gal, who refused to provide me her name, said that she's not the one and not to take it out on her; ALL of this is happening in front of the AM, Kaitlyn, who had retuned with the refund. I turned around to leave and Kaitlyn requested the drinks back...I asked why, she said because I gave a refund. I said ooook, set the drinks on the table, and threw the two straws and spoon in the air and walked out. I had called corporate while in the parking lot to file a complaint and while I was on the phone with corporate, I went back inside Sonic to get the gal that refused to provide me her name. I stuck my head in the doorway to the kitchen requesting her name and the gal walked towards me and yelled in my ear "EXCUSE ME!" I moved to let her in the kitchen and she told her AM not to provide me with her name. Kaitlyn then proceeded to say she has a name tag, as I was saying I couldn't see it and I was on the phone with corporate, the gal stuck her finger over the name tag, took it off, and stuck it in her pocket. I looked at Kaitlyn and said "did you see that? She stuck her finger over her name tag and stuck it in her pocket so I couldn't see it." Kaitlyn finally said her name is Denisha or Tanisha which I don't even know if that's her name (she's got long black braided hair). All of this happened while I was on the phone with corporate and the lady I was on the phone with heard everything.
I have never EVER been so disrespected by any employee of a fast food joint nor by any teenager in my life! Maybe this store should hire some adults and not children who are going to disrespect...
Read moreMy wife and I were just in Sonic in Memphis TX we ordered #1 HAMBURGER, no cheese, with mustard, pickle and tomato ONLY. #2 Cheeseburger with mustard, tomato and grilled onions. and 1 order tater tots. When order was delivered the #2 was correct but the #1 had cheese. Not a big deal, except my wife Hates cheese on a sandwich. I took it back to the window, explained it was incorrect and wanted it fixed as the ticket plainly showed NO CHEESE. Next burger came out, Incorrect too, although it did not have cheese, it did have mustard, tomato, onion, NO PICKLES. My wife takes this one to the window and asks for a refund of our money for the #1 only. Lisa Torez, not sure of the spelling, but she is supposedly a manager. She stated "What's wrong, they not put the grilled onions?'' Wife "This burger wasn't suppose to have grilled onions, it shouldn't have any onions at all but it should have pickles" Lisa T " Who took her money, give it all back." Wife "I don't want it all back, just the amount for this burger, my husbands was correct. Also, you need to better train your kitchen, it was plainly on the ticket." Lisa T now yelling at my wife "Look we've been busy, I got 'em at the drive-up, the window and out there (pointing to tables inside restaurant). Wife "That's your business and busy shouldn't matter, pay attention and do it right." Lisa T, yelling "Give her all the money back!" and slammed the window in my wife's face. The young lady that took our money comes out, clearly upset because her manager is yelling at her, as well as my wife. She tries to return all of our money, my wife won't allow this and states, "Look, the burger was $3.99 so just give me $4.00 and that's it." Girl "But she said...(as she points back toward the window) Wife "I will not accept more, his was correct." Girl gives wife $4.00, Wife says "Oh and you can tell her, Lisa T, I will be reporting her behavior to corporate." Wife walks out and goes to our vehicle, I finish my burger and leave too.
Our opinion - busy doesn't matter, you/your staff should pay attention to each order individually. It takes maybe 2 seconds to review the order ticket and confirm it is prepared correctly. Also, Lisa Torez clearly needs further management training, the manner in which she handled the situation was completely inappropriate. A customer should NEVER be yelled at or have a window slammed in their face. If she can't conduct herself in a professional manner then maybe she needs to be a carhop instead. The carhop that brought our food to us was beyond reproachj, nice, polite, apologetic for the mistakes. The manager could learn a few things from...
Read moreThis place is unique to me cause you rarely see a dine in Sonic being inside a building most are outside drive thru only.
The staff is very friendly & they got my order correct. The server was nice when bring the order.
The food was very good & crisp the way that I like my food to be.
But giving it 4 stars only because I asked our server to give us ranch & honey mustard. The server did bring out to me but mentioned that they normally charge for sauces. she said had sneak past her manager .
When I am complete aware of that each location run differently. I would of galdly paid the sauces if I would needed to at this location. Just didn’t understand the point of that being pointed out to me. When I would gladly paid it...
