Press Start Games — Local services in Menasha

I can't recommend this place enough. I've been visiting somewhat regularly since they opened five (six) years ago to purchase and make trade-ins at the store.

I had ran into Zach a number of times when he worked at a GameStop I frequented and it was a pleasure finding out through the grapevine he had been able to open his own retro gaming store in the absence of others like the beloved Video Gamestar I spent too much time at as a kid.

All that aside, you owe it to yourself to visit Press Start if you're feeling nostalgic or want to get a great deal on used current and previous gen games. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, passionate and their dedication to this niche hobby is almost palpable. When some are kind of elitist and "know it all's", I've never seen so much as a smirk when someone has asked what otherwise might be a silly question.

As far as prices are concerned, in store or the price they pay for your trade-ins, it'd always fair. I imagine they utilize Price Charting which aggregates prices from multiple merchants. Often times they are better. They'll also take imports off of your hands if you're into that.

All that to say, thanks for being there. Thanks for being a store that makes you feel welcome and happy to browse in. And especially to Zach, you rule. Sorry for not correcting you years ago when you called me the wrong name for...

This is my go to store for retro gaming. The employees are pleasant and accommodating. Their selection is always changing and they never over price high demand items. For example when I bought Majoras Mask N64 cart it was priced at the market value, while other stores in the Green Bay, Fox Valley, and Madison areas have been up to 20% higher. Press Start also pays reasonable prices for used goods based on ratios of market value. You are better off here than at GameStop if you want to trade. These two points exemplify the integrity and honesty of this establishment.

The aspect that differentiates Press Start from most other stores is the cleanliness and functionality of ALL of their inventory not just the high value or high demand items. It is obvious that a large amount of time and care is taken when used goods come in to ensure they are 100% functional and clean inside and out. I have never taken apart a cartridge purchased from them apart to clean like I have with many other items.

I do like other stores in the area, however if I see the same item at Press Start and another store I will always purchase from Press...

Honestly I can't stress enough about how AWESOME this store is! This is always my first go-to when I'm looking for a game or some kind of collectible.

I've bought well over a couple hundred dollars worth of N64 merch from this place as well as other gaming merch! The prices always seem great, they always answer their phone, (Rather quickly at that.) and the staff is always friendly, great people honestly.

I can't say anything about their trade prices as I don't sell my gaming stuff but they've got to make money too so don't go in expecting them to pay you 100% of whatever you might see online.

I'd recommend this place to any retro gamer or any gamer in general! This place is great and I would absolutely love to see it grow into a chain. Best place since Mega Media Exchange! 99% of my business will be done here. The other 1% is incase the store doesn't have the game/collectible I'm looking for and I see it someplace else.
