Daughter had her birthday party here today. Very disappointed! We were told art and science as the theme, but made slime with limited materials, couldâve made better at home, and in my opinion, lame art the kids were bored with. The kids liked the splatter booth but that was 10 min of a 2 hour party. Not the place for children over 5 for a party in my opinion. I also paid extra for 20 kids attending, $450 and I bought the decorations, food, drink and treat bags separate not included in the price. So I paid $450 for not so exciting art projects and very messy not exciting cloud slime. There was one woman running it and I was told there would be rotating stations the kids would visit but parents and myself had to help run the stations. So poorly organized! They didnât even provide the fun experiment the manager promised âelephant toothpasteâ. My child was so disappointed they sent her home with the materials to do it at home. The woman they had running the party was very sweet and we liked her, she just had no help and the manager didnât seem to prepare her either before leaving her alone to run a very hands-on party by herself. I wish I hadnât selected this for my daughterâs party. We wonât be back. They are also slow to get communications out to you and seem just overall very disorganized. Itâs sad really because I loved the idea cool STEAM atmosphere. The kids just seemed bored most of the time, I gave them their goodie bags early so they had something to do...
Read moreWe just relocated to MI and her former daycare doesn't have a location near us so we were on the hunt! From initial contact, to the virtual tour, to the first week, everyone has been phenomenal! After being at her original daycare for 2.5 years, you think there could be an adjustment period.. yet your daughter is practically chucking up duces when you say bye only on her 3rd day at tinkrLAB?? They must be doing something right (and amazing)!!! We get so many pictures each day, the staff are super responsive to any questions and also helpful with recommendations (since new to the area)! My daughter has been in pull ups for over a year now, and since she is 3 (and I feel a bit lazy about it) I sent her to tinkrLAB in training underwear after only being at the school for one week.. YEP, she's pretty much potty trained! tinkrLAB clearly is fostering a place of learning, love, fun and security for our little ones if they can move to a new school and take potty training on like a champ! My family is so grateful to be apart of the tinkrLAB family and I just had to share our experience, as it has made our transition to MI that much...
Read moreI called at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 1st to make sure that the Tinkrlab would be open at noon despite the holiday weekend. The gal who answered the phone assured me that they WOULD be open at noon, so I sent my husband and toddler daughter on their way. My husband texted me at 12:15 p.m. to tell me that they STILL were not open and that there was no sign in the window or any apparent sign of life in the locked lab. I told him to call the number listed on the Tinkrlab Facebook page, but he decided to give the business until 20 MINUTES AFTER OPENING to call. They then told him that they would not be opening until 12:45 p.m...
Why did they not tell me this when I called at 11:30?! Toddlers have a VERY limited attention span, and my husband and toddler ended up wasting an ENTIRE HOUR roaming around the mall waiting for Tinkrlab to open, EVEN THOUGH I HAD CALLED TO CONFIRM HOURS OF OPERATION LESS THAN 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO "OPENING". Worse yet, the business still charged my Active Duty Army husband and toddler FULL PRICE after making them wait an hour after opening to enter....
