Overview: brewery tour, Ginger Bread House, Horse Area.
"The Gingerbread House" was probably the most redeeming part of the tour experience with many small cozy gas fires to roast marshmallows in and make smores. The price was fair but I wouldn't expect to come to a brewery to make smores. As a Budweiser fan It was sad that this was the best part of our visit.
Brewery Tour- The tour was shorter than I expected and did not really talk as in depth into the brewing process as I anticipated. The staff was pleasant and quirky, although it doesn't change the tours feel. The tour seemed to just hurd cattle into the room to try one glass of Bud Light and kick us out.
The Horse area was beautiful even at night, and our family was excited to get a picture with the famous Budweiser Clydesdales. So excited we even chose to pay for a digital picture with the horse and wagon. The process was smooth and lines were quick, but when it came to receiving the image we paid for.. it never arrived. when we called the brewery they requested information to find the picture, of which was never given to us at that time, but lucky my personal images were time stamped. Overall not receiving the image was enough to send our family over the edge to make the whole experience...
Read moreWent to a 40th private party that the entire bar/restaurant was suppose to be closed to outside people starting at 2 p m. We get there at 2 and at least 8 tables have people eating and drinking. Finally at little after 3 it finally became our room for what it was paid for.1st part being the pretzels, cheese and crackers, popcorn and sausages were good. The tour of the brewery was good. The best part 4 me was having our close encounter with the Clydesdale horse Arrow! Took pictures and was able to pet him was awesome! Now will get to the food part. They set it up way to early making pretty much all what was suppose to be warm food cold. Don't understand why the food wasn't put on top of the sterno type flame heat with water in the tins then food on top of that. Also they ran out of regular paper plates to put your food on so we had to use these super small plates that when you put 2 slider type sandwiches on it was full. C,mon you run out of regular paper plates in a multi million dollar establishment like Budweiser place. At least all the workers at the bar were pleasant and the...
Read moreSpent a few hours here on the Friday of a holiday weekend with the family on a recommendation from a friend. Was pleasantly surprised at how kid-friendly the whole experience was. We started with a light lunch at the Biergarten. A very limited menu - clearly more for beer than food. The outdoor seating and lawn games were a nice touch.
The tour was well laid-out and informative. Even kept the kids interest for the ~1 hour it lasted (including tasting). They offer free samples at the end of the tour and had sodas available for the under 21 crowd.
Finished off the experience by visiting the Clydesdale horses. A bit of a walk to get to their stables, but well worth it. Note that they have photo ops with the horses on the 1st Saturdays of the month. Would have been nice to get that in as part of the experience.
I probably won't be a repeat customer just because it's really a one-time experience. But I recommend it to anyone passing through. With the outlet mall down the road you can make a day...
