My wife was just injured in the Merrimack Loft outlet from a falling sign inside the store. Accidents happen, but the reaction from the staff was absolutely atrocious. First an employee came by to pick up the sign and didnāt even stop to ask if she was ok or to offer apologies. Then after asking to speak to a manager, she had to wait nearly 20 minutes to talk to someone. The manager finally came by and offered an ice pack, but no sense of concern or apology. She didnāt fill out any paperwork, she didnāt offer to bring in any medical care (mall services or anything), and she didnāt even consider that the employee that ignored her should be addressed. I will never shop there again! Basic customer service skills need to be part of the training if you are choosing to work in retail. Told her I just wanted it back to the card. She said āI only have one option and you need to have the cardā. Called my wife and asked if she wanted the store credit then her tone changed completely when I pointed out we paid half in cash and half in the card. All a sudden she had āother optionsā.
