Brilliant Bridal — Local services in Mesa

This was my first time going dress shopping so I didn't quite know what to expect, but I was blown away! Kelly was the consultant that helped me out through my appointment and boy did I make her WORK. I explained to her that I am having two weddings, so I am shopping for two different dresses. One wedding is going to be in a catholic church and the other is going to be on a beach in Cancun, so two very different vibes. I told her my goal budget, which she was extremely respectful of and was pulling dresses in that budget. I also had told her that I'm okay with going above that if I find one that I love.

Because I am shopping for two different looks for two different weddings, she suggested that we start with one so that we can narrow down the style and THEN flip to the other one, so that I don't get overwhelmed going back and forth. This was honestly such a huge help! Kelly listened to EVERY little comment I made about each of the dresses, whether it was a detail of the lace, the sleeves, the neckline, EVERYTHING. When she came back with the most perfect dress that is EXACTLY what I imagined myself in, I was blown away. She did tell me before she showed me that it was a bit over the goal budget, but I told her I was fine with the amount and we proceeded to get me into it! I came out of that fitting room feeling like a million bucks, and was so happy in it! At that point, Kelly grabbed a looooong cathedral length veil and a bouquet for me. Seeing it all put together like that in the mirror made me tear up a little!! I immediately said "this is the one! wrap it up!"

We then started trying on different styles for the beach wedding, and I did narrow down some parts of what I liked and didn't like, but ultimately wasn't able to make a decision on that one. Kelly really did such an amazing job of keeping the two weddings separate and just a great job of making me feel so comfortable and took every little detail into consideration.

All in all, I left that day with my wedding dress IN HAND and am so excited to wear it. I'm so in love with it and could not have had a better experience with Brilliant Bridal. I highly recommend them!

Also, P.S. Brilliant Bridal sells all of their dresses "off the rack" which means you leave with it THAT DAY. No ordering and waiting in anticipation. But that also means that the prices are significantly more affordable than some other...

What a horrible experience. I booked an appointment for a 90 minute session with myself and my soon to be mother-in-law who wanted to be a part of my dress shopping and buying experience. The store is in an old part of Mesa and states it’s a discount bridal store and the dresses are purchased “off the rack.” The store itself is old and outdated. Therefore, nothing about this store says “bougie.” The girl that we encountered upon entering the store and I approached at the front counter, didn’t have herself put together (frumpy looking) and put no effort into making herself presentable. She also had zero enthusiasm in being our shopping guide. It was like I was interrupting what she was doing. Again, going along with the theme of “discount bridal.” So, we get to the area where you sit by the dressing rooms, and she asks my budget. I was being funny and said $1. She then proceeded to immediately and condescendingly tell me the dresses start at $1,200 and I should go to the under $500 rack and look around but basically the (1 minute appointment) was over. She pointed to the $500 rack at the front of the store and got up and walked away. I wanted to walk out immediately but my mother in law wanted to be accommodating and look. There was like 5 dresses in my size on the rack and none even close to anything desirable (5’5”, 130 pounds). I was trying to make my way to the door when the girl came over and in a tone that was patronizing and informed me I should consider a more appropriate store for my budget and to go to the superstition mall store that sells donated wedding dresses. I have never been or felt so disrespected and was extremely embarrassed. I actually make a very good living and I’m the “mom” you are used to seeing in there “paying” for the dresses. I will never bring my three daughters to your store. I can afford a dress at your store and probably could have been persuaded to get one. Complete fail on your part for making big assumptions and rash judgements. You’ve now lost a potential customer who has 3 unmarried daughters...

I don't even know where to begin except to say that Brilliant Bridal was exceptional in every way from start to finish!! We were in town for a short amount of time trying to crank out major wedding tasks. We had been to a couple other popular bridal stores that had kind staff and pretty dresses but nothing really popped. It was frustrating to see the lack of enthusiasm and smile on my daughter's face.

On an extremely last minute whim, literally as we were leaving to drive back to CA, we stopped at Brilliant Bridal. They made accommodations and were able to fit my daughter and I in. From the moment my phone call was answered to the second we left, everything was top notch.

Kendra was the one to work with us and she was phenomenal! No pressure, really listened to what my daughter wanted, plenty of suggestions for what would be best to meet our needs but more importantly, feasible ways for how to meet her vision. Her knowledge and suggestions made it readily apparent that not only has she been doing this for years, but she has her own seamstress abilities. One of my favorite parts though was when Kendra suggested we check out a couple other places to be sure, naming another store that was well known for quickly meeting needs of modest brides. There was no sales pressure from Kendra, just thoughtful listening and expert advice.

We left the store and intended to visit this other place, but after conversing in the car for some time and checking things out, we went back in and asked Kendra if we could try the dress back on and asked about the possibility of a couple modifications. When the dress was tried back on and the modifications expertly addressed... the smile and excitement on my daughter's face was priceless!

We walked out with a designer dress, unique from all the others, and veil for a killer price. I've been through this process a handful of times now and this was by far our best experience ever across the years! Well done, Brilliant Bridal!! Kendra, you have our undying...
