The management of Good Life Resort are unfeeling cold people. The wrote many lies about our German Shepherd dog who they said "viciously" attacked many other dogs. Now if this happened even once, let alone many times, more than 1 branch of authorities would have been called many times. Not 1 call was ever made. They took the word of the elderly big dog "haters" who hate any that is over 1 foot tall and pretty much banded together to get us out of there because our dog had a big, mean bark. Hello, she's a German Shepherd. And this "vicious" dog goes to visit at an Assisted Living Home. Their rules state you must 1st get a verbal warning with the infractions written out and highlighted. We never received that. The rules then state you must get a formal written warning. We never received it. They walked up to my husband on a Thursday morning at 9am and said we have until noon to get out of they would call the police. He explained to them he was taking me to the hospital because I was very sick. I thought I had pneumonia but it turned out to be bronchitis. He came home and said we had to leave. I told him they could call the police because I had to go to the hospital. I had to shower and he started packing things up. They showed up at 11 and Handed us an eviction notice. I told them we are leaving now to go to the hospital. Her words were, "you've been going to the hospital since 9 this morning". So cold! I told her they had just turned our lives upside down and we were trying to make some arrangements. We are in January of snowbird season and where were we going to find a place and literally begged them to give us a couple days to find a place especially with me being so sick. She told us to go stay in a Walmart parking lot and they refused to give us any more time. Again, so cold. At this point we were be being treated like common criminals! I told her to call the cops and we left for the hospital. When we returned, they told us we could have until noon the next day. We found a new fabulous park, Desert Vista in Mesa, and it actually turned out to be a godsend to get out of depressing Good Life Resort. If you didn't walk around with your vinegar spray bottle and wear your name tag, people would actually scold you like a little child. We love Desert Vista, they like us and our dogs! Such a huge difference! BEWARE OF GOOD...
Read moreThe turn into the resort and the turns throughout the resort are tight. It doesn't help that they have parking on one side of the road. When we checked in, we were given a 24-page rule/regulation book. We were also given a nametag that we had to keep pinned to our shirt whenever we were in the park. I wasn't too happy about that. I don't like putting holes in my clothes. The site tilts towards the street, so we had to use leveling blocks under our front wheels. We had problems with our water and electric, and found out later that several people have the same problems. When we tried to hook up the utilities, the electric didn't work. We called the office. By the time someone came to help, my husband had played around with it and had gotten it working. Two days later, the electricity went out again. This time my husband couldn't get it working. We had someone from maintenance come out, and he managed to get it on. A couple of days later, we had no water. Three phone calls and almost an hour and a half later, the manager came to look at it. He had no tools. We had to hook up our water hose to the neighbor's pedestal. The next day they got our water going. During the two months we were there, we had a few more power outages and more problems with the water. The office closes at 4 pm. If you have a problem after that, you have to call the guardshack. There's not much they can do since the maintenance men are not on duty, and the manager doesn't have any tools. Needless to say, we will not return...
Read moreI recently learned my friends pitpull mix service dog died last week. This dog was older and very kind and gentle. The day before he died, the manager (Jamie) informed the owner that he must get rid of the dog. It's a decision by these unhinged California lawyers and owners of GOODLIFE RV resort. This dog was a SERVICE dog with legitimate paper work. Perhaps a lawsuit would be a solution to fixing this rule regarding service dogs. I and many others are appaled. I know the owner of the dying dog who was his best and loyal friend was in disbelieve. I believe these California park owners are absolutely ridiculous and uncompasenate. The managers are always inconsistent in dealing with matters. I had a park model home and sold it as the lot rentals have increased. People simply can't afford these greedy cost especially people from Canada. GOODLIFE RV resort used be a fun place but obviously things have changed. Im not one to complain but this situation was uncalled for. Managers must have a great deal of common sense, everything is not black or white but that's lacking. Everyone is leaving California because it's a failed state and bringing their B.S. to Arizona. Very sad for the nice people living in the resort. I know the people are looking elsewhere which will be the demise of...
