Donât buy here and if you do, avoid Lisa. We had a great experience coming in and purchasing a $7000 couch as well as two matching chairs for a total bill of almost $10,000. We were very explicit that the furniture needed to be wrapped because the house we are currently renting is having a paint job done before we can move out (due to toll brothers home warranty system) and it is important we protect the couch for our new build home. We would not have bought the couch at this time, except that it was going to be the last one in stock. We were assured at that time that everything would be wrapped and protected and we could just leave it in the wrapping until we move into our new home at the end of the month. Low and behold, the couch shows up and nothing is wrapped. We are literally looking at our packing slip and in massive letters it says, âTo be wrapped.â We explained the entire situation to Lisa when we purchased the couch, as she helped us pick it out. She was very aware of the entire situation. When we called to say that the couch was not wrapped and this was going to be a problem, her response was well I donât know what you want me to do about that. What the heck? She was so reasonable and helpful before. She then said why donât you just have your daughter come and get the wrap and then she can bring it to you and you can do it yourself. My daughter lives in Gilbert, I live in Surprise. She is a pilot and it is literally an hour and a half drive across town. From there, Lisa said she would talk to the owner. When Lisa came back on she said the owner would pay $30 to have it wrapped before I move, but couldnât do anything about the house renovation and they would not come out and wrap it themselves before then. When I said what if it cost more than that to wrap it for the move she said it shouldnât cost more than that. I said what if it does, she then said well the owner actually said he would pay up to $50 but I think it will cost $30. She arbitrarily tried to make sure that I received less. Great customer service before you give them $10,000, after that has been spent, the customer service goes out the window. We even met John who is the manufacturer of the couch. John if you get to read this, I hope your couch doesnât get ruined before we even get...
Read moreI bought a 4K dollar couch from this store. Within a week the seams split on the cushions. I called to have it remedied and the response was âcheck your receipt, all sales are finalâ. I disputed the charge with AMEX. After the dispute, I received another call from a manager who said he would fix the couch or replace the cover if I sent some pictures over by sending someone to repair it. The cushion alone is over 80 pounds. No one was sent. I received another call today from the OWNER who told me to bring the 80+ pound / 6ft long x 4.5ft wide cushion to the store. I explained that this was not what was agreed upon in my talks with his manager. I am a female and I canât carry or transport that size of cushion to the store, which is why I had it delivered in the first place. He had a very rude tone, and kept interrupting me as I was explaining my discussions with his manager. I pointed out the rudeness in his tone and asked him to change. He then called me âdearâ and said this is business, which I responded to with, âIâm a grown woman, donât call me dearâ and âI know this is a business, Iâm your customerâ. He then said, âif youâre a grown woman you should act like oneâ. Talk about the epitome of Misogyny and disrespect toward a person youâve never met who was fully willing to work with them on a repair. Donât shop here. He doesnât deserve your money and their furniture falls apart. There are numerous other reviews on here of the same nature. I guess I will perpetually be sewing these cushions every time someone sits on the couch and I will not rescind my 4K dispute with this manâs lack of product and...
Read moreIt pains me to write a negative review for Potato Barn because this store is COOL. I moved to AZ from Missouri and as soon as I walked in, I was so excited- I loved everything, including the employees! I spent over $15,000 here furnishing my new home. I understood their âAll sales are finalâ policy. I triple-checked every piece I purchased before I paid. I bought 2 matching mirrors, which were around $1,000.00 each. The mirrors looked great on the floor. Unfortunately, once they were delivered and hung, it was clear that the glass in the mirrors was extremely distorted. It is like looking in a fun-house mirror once you step back a few feet. This wasnât noticeable on the show room floor. I called my salesperson, who I loved, to let her know. I didnât want to return the mirrors, I just thought they might offer to help cover the expense of replacing the glass. I got NOTHING. They clearly donât stand behind their products at all. After spending over $15,000 at this store, I would have thought that they would do SOMETHING to help remedy the situation. Even 10% off of my next purchase? ANYTHING to show that they valued a good customer. NOPE. The worst part is that there have been so many time since this happened that I needed a unique piece of furniture or accessory, and I know that Potato Barn would have what I needed, but I absolutely REFUSE to shop at a store that has no appreciation for a...
