FAILED Valentine's Day Brunch with mom, 2 sisters and a young niece. As was expected restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was edgy. We were sat quickly. However, the server was unenthusiastic she failed to explain the virtues of the Eggesty experience. When pressed for information she actually advised the omelets were made with 6 eggs and we may want to share. Ok good enough we can read the menu and make a decision. Place our order, got 2 coffees (awful, bitter and so strong the cream didn’t help. Nieces Mickey Mouse pancake cake came 3 min after ordered (not a good start) was cold and mealy with an odd taste, bacon was burnt. Tried to discuss this with the server. Attempted to explain how we felt pancake should be hot and fresh. When this didn’t pan out, I canceled the remaining order and requested check for the coffee and child pancake. (We left a tip for these items) Enter the manager who I now understand is the owner… Peter Verros, who proceeds from across the room (barely close to the table) loudly begins to tell us he’s comped our entire meal, he was rude and refused to listen to our reason for canceling…for five minutes he’s bustling around completely full of himself…saying he serves French coffee. Just because it’s French does not mean the coffee is good! He further refused to even discuss the cold mealy pancake and burnt bacon. We tried to leave my family makes it out the door and I’m at the hostess station and his tirade progressively got worse … this man Peter Verros will argue with a door knob just to hear himself talk. Not once did he try to salvage the Valentine Brunch; he just made sure all four of the adults will tell friends & family what a horrible experience we had in his establishment. I’d give a zero if I could. Don’t waste your...
Read moreWe were looking for a new place to try when my wife and I were meeting a dear friend for a breakfast meetup. My wife had a coworker recommend Eggstasy so we decided to give them a try. I ordered the impossible omelette with hash browns and I opted for the pancake as my side option just to give them a try. My wife had the granola berry French toast with a side of bacon and our friend ordered a scramble that she customized to her liking with hash browns and toast. We all ordered coffee and I added a fresh squeezed orange juice. My omelette was done to perfection and had very good flavors. I forgot to add cheese and they would have made it a perfect omelette. I’ll add the cheese next time. The hash browns were really good with a nice crispy crust and good flavor and texture. As for the pancakes, I think they maybe brought me the wrong one. It was a dense pancake and had some sort of flavor to it. It was not bad, just not my taste. My wife’s French toast was huge and it was also very good. All the food was tasty. I found the coffee to be a bit too bitter for me, but my wife and our friend enjoyed theirs. Our friend’s toast looked really good and they bring you a tiny jam jar. The food was very good, the service was good, they were quite busy and it was very loud so our server had a hard time hearing us at times. It is a busy bustling place, it was crazy busy for 8 am on a Saturday, but it is a newer location and that is to be expected. It is not cheep, but not terrible and we will definitely come back. The strip steak looked amazing and I can’t...
Read moreI had gotten the gypsy steak skillet with sour dough toast, and it was ok. The steak flavor was slightly bland and and the flavors of everything else in the bowl overwhelmed the steak. This then made the bowl taste like a bowl of meshed things together. The sour dough toast came with butter and jam. However, the toast itself didn't have that distinct sour dough flavor. It still tasted good, though.
My girlfriend had gotten corned beef hash and eggs with pancakes. Her hashbrowns and the corned beef hash were good. She had ordered over medium eggs, and they had come not even cooked all the way with runny egg white. We asked to return them, and they came back with the eggs cooked properly now. While she was waiting for her new batch of eggs, she started to eat her pancakes only to find the pancakes weren't cooked all the way through. We returned those and got a to go box of new pancakes.
The seating arrangement is too crowded to where you're under a foot away from the table next to you. You can hear everyone's conversations without trying to do so. It was extremely overwhelming when we first arrived because they packed too many tables inside the building. Luckily, outside wasn't too packed, so we went with that.
The table we sat at had a thick film of grease, which got all over the sleeves and stomach part of my girlfriends and I jacket. We looked around, and it appears to be on most of the tables around us as well.
The server was great with dealing with...
