I tried to send this to the email under the contact us on your website, but cones back as undeliverable/email not found. So i am posting as my review and on Facebook.
To whom it may concern,
I shop at your Mesquite store monthly. You carry specific brand items normally that I can only find at your store. I am disabled and I have someone else shop for me. My shopper has always been told that I can call to check stock and prices at any time and in the past every one has been really nice when I've called.
I called today and spoke with a man and I explained that I needed stock/price check on items and that I would place a pickup order for pickup tomorrow if in stock. He said that the store wasn't crowded, I could come into the store if I wanted. Then he asked for the first item. So I started giving my list. Four items in he states "I don't mean to be rude, but we are really busy. If you could just come into the store. Pick up is for people who know what they want."
I didn't know what to say. So I said fine I'll go to Sprouts and hung up. I have never been treated as I was today. I have no idea what to do or how I'm suppose to shop at your store. I am trying to abide by your rules but how am I to know what is available without asking? I was in tears not knowing what to do. He didn't ask if he could have my list and call me back even. I am flexible and willing to work within what is easiest for you too. I am not going to be treated as I was today though.
I called your store back and asked for the store manager's name and was informed that you have many managers but no general or overall manager. So no one is available to help me then?
I had my mother come into your store today and pick up the few items that I needed only because I was out. I would have purchased the Lily's chocolate that I use but it's $.50 cheaper at Sprouts this week so I will be purchasing from them through their delivery. I like shopping local stores like yours but when I am treated so rudely I will spend the extra for delivery.
My mother spoke with a lady today at the register about our experience. She said Lee is the head manager and that she would speak to management. She was really nice and apologetic.
My consensus today going forward I will not inconvenience your store personnel in any way. If I am not sure if you carry a product, I won't bother you. I will just find an online store or shop at Sprouts for the items. It is just a small amount of items, so you will not even know probably or it won't matter to you anyway. Read moreI hate this location. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by one person "Forest" and the other staffs just looks at you and carry on about what they were doing. As you start shopping you're asked are you looking for something. Not even 5 mins of being in the store you're being followed around by this big heavy bald guy. If you go to one aisle he follows you onto the next aisle and ask you are you good. He's very very rude and short with you. I was looking for an product and I couldn't find it so I saw an employee by the name of Forest who was attending to another customer. I waited very patiently for him to finish with the customer he was helping to ask my question. As I waited the heavy bald guy comes up to me and before I could say anything Forest told him I needed help with finding an item. So I told him I needed help with looking for two items and he rudely pointed to one item I was looking for and I asked him about the other item and he said it's right there with an annoying look on his face. It's very uncomfortable to shop here when you're constantly being followed around by the heavy bald guy. The whole experience is not pleasant at all being that's my first time shopping there. Apparently people have been stealing out of there and they treat certain people of color that comes in there as thieves, especially the big heavy guy. And he makes it obvious he's following you and it shouldn't be that way. Every person of color that comes in there is not stealing or wanting to. They do have cameras so I'm not understanding why make your customers feel uncomfortable as soon as they walk in the door. This is very tacky and very unprofessional to do anyone that walks thru that door. If this was my business every face would be greeted and treated fairly upon walking in my place of business. Read moreThis is ABSOLUTELY the best place to shop for EVERYTHING health! Due to a devastating gastro surgery, I have to take 48+ vitamins, minerals & supplements, EVERY DAY for the rest of my life. I used to buy from Amazon constantly, then search out what they didn't carry and order from elsewhere. This causes me to spend an absolute fortune! But I kid you not, Herb Mart carries EVERYTHING I need, and by multiple manufacturers, multiple prices, and strengths. I get everything here now, and it costs much LESS than I used to get them online! And I always bought the least expensive plus I always used Amazon Prime, so I only spent $100 shipping per year. Also Herb Mart not only carries vitamins and minerals, supplements but they also carry essential oils, every kind of protein in powders and liquids that you can imagine, they carry foodstuffs that you see advertised on the Internet but you can't get locally, they actually carry it! They sell bread, burritos, tamales, canned goods, waters, and so much more and it's all healthy and delicious! Many many aisles of soups, bone broths, cereals, healthy tortillas, gluten-free , fat-free, sugar-free, everything you could possibly need. But if you should find something that they don't have, they gladly order it for you! I swear if I could afford it I would buy absolutely everything in the world in Herb Mart if they don't have it I don't need it! ...not because they're expensive but because I'm broke ! Ha ha Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and helpful and if you ask for a product, they don't just point and tell you which aisle, they walk you there and show you the different brands they have & ask you how else they can help you. I do not work for them and this is not a fake review, this is absolutely the truth from an incredibly amazed and satisfied customer for life. Literally!
