Just moved to the area temporarily and remembered there was a Dairy Queen just pass the freeway. The drive thru was super slow and packed, so I decided to just run in. They were busy inside and slow also, but I figured, "How long would it take to fix one blizzard?". The cashier was great. She greeted me and took my order and other customers' orders well. The one girl making the dairy desserts was unprofessional, yelling at the cashier about how she should ring up "bananas". When training new people, there are proper ways to get the process taught w/o coming off as arrogant and making it very blatant that the person is new.
I was in the restaurant for about 30 min. 20 of which was me waiting for my blizzard. I watched the 2 couples ahead of me get their desserts. Ok. Then the couple that ordered after me got their desserts. I mentioned to the cashier I hadn't gotten mine yet. She told the young lady making the desserts. The couple after the last couple got their desserts. What the heck!?!?! I then told the dessert maker I hadn't gotten my order. She looked at the receipt and went over to make it. She brought it to me and dismissively said "Sorry," and something like "enjoy the rest of your pretty day.".
I wasn't thrilled about her behavior. It was like she was offended by me letting her know she made a mistake. Her apology was not genuine. I have background in customer service - in person and over the phone, so I'm well aware how to deal with different types of customers and different situations. I will be giving the Dairy Queen down the street a try next time. It's a little farther, but that's fine. Store manager, train your people to better handle busy and challenging times at the store and working...
Read moreI took my grandmother here earlier today and when we first entered we were not greeted. An old wrinkly white lady with at least three strands of hair by the name of “Cathey” took our order. While at the register she just stood there with a nasty expression on her face not saying a single word. I was interested in ordering their special and I had questions about it so when I asked her about it she said obviously annoyed “Well it’s right there on display, you shouldn’t have a problem understanding what comes with it” I brushed it off because this Dq is one of my grandmothers favorite locations and she insisted on coming here. While my Grandmother was ordering “Cathey” felt the need to sigh and huff and puff while my grandmother was ordering and after my grandmother was done she finished taking her order with saying “Is that all for you” very dryly. After we went and sat down we didn’t wait long for our food and she brought it out to us without saying anything. No mustard, Mayo, Salt and Pepper or anything. So I went back to the front register to ask for some and “Cathey” roughly grabbed it and dashed it into my hand. After that experience I will no longer be returning here with my grandmother. This was a very horrible experience and something I would never wanna go through again. After I explained what happened to my family we were all extremely upset with the poor service we received and how we were treated. 0/10 I do not recommend...
Read moreIt was late when I got to Dairy Queen. To be precise it was after 9:00 p. m. and they close at 10:00 p. m. I ordered 2 chicken strip dinners and 1 steak finger basket. They all came with french fries, country gravy and Texas toast. I went through the drive thru and placed my order and I was very specific about my food being made fresh and hot. It took me about 7 minutes to get home with the food. Of course I was the last one to sit down and eat after making sure everyone had their correct food order. The chicken strips were still hot as well as very tender and cooked to perfection. All of the food was delicious and still hot. That was some of the best food that I had ever ate. I'm not a bread eater, but the Texas toast was so good especially after dipping it down in the gravy. The gravy was made from scratch or at least it tasted like it was. It had been a while since I had ate at this Dairy Queen, but I can honestly say that I have never gotten bad food from this Dairy Queen. We all three ate our food and spoke of how delicious it was. Great service and great food. If you are looking for a Dairy Queen to take out or dine in then this is the place. I normally don't give such a high rating, but like I said it was all freshly cooked...
