I placed a store pick up order on 2/15/25. The email confirmation was long with mind-boggling instructions on how not to call the store (because "it results in the phone literally ringing all day" ) or go to the store before you get a pick up email etc. If you try to call the store, it's even worse. There is conflicting information on the website vs. the order confirmation on when orders will be ready . . . so, on 2/23/25, I sent a Facebook message to the store (as the suggested preferred method of contact) to check on the order. As of today, 3/24/25, there has not been a response. My order was charged immediately to my credit card, so I had to file a dispute (which is still ongoing). So 5 weeks later, I have not been contacted that my order is ready . . . and the owner hasn't bothered to answer my message on FB. Sadly cannot recommend.
UPDATE: Read snarky response from owner. She can read reviews, but can't read the Facebook messages I sent. I know the store doesn't ship. I was going to pick it up since I am in NJ regularly. I checked "in store pickup" when I checked out. The first line of my review is "I placed a store pick up order." See photo below of my order email that clearly says Store Pick up for shipping method. I did NOT try to place a shipping order. When you call the store, it asks you to not leave a message and no one ever picks up . . . so it's not like I didn't try to get in touch. I was trying to be respectful of the email and site instructions to not leave a voicemail. Notice how even though I can't leave phone messages and tried to message thru FB, the owner still tries to blame the customer for not using the contact form on the website. I didn't get a refund from her - I had to file a dispute because my card was charged and then she never responded to me that my order was ready. I filed the dispute on March 2, and didn't post a review until today because I was giving her more time to respond to me. See attached photos showing the dispute is in review. The person that needs to read is . . . her. Further, the only emails from her other than an order confirmation were for a loyalty club welcome email and something about itchy season on March 3.
UPDATE #2: See the second, even snarkier response from the owner (and threatening to report me for, well . . . I don't know what). The refund I have is provisional and pending review. A conditional credit was issued on March 2 . . . which was 22 days ago when I filed the dispute. So I have not "had a refund for months" as the owner states. Nowhere on the site does it say you can't order from out of state . . . also, I live in NY which is right.next.to.NJ. If there is a radius or state limit, it should be clearly stated. When I placed the order, I selected STORE PICK UP so why would I utilize the notes section of the order form to repeat that I would be picking it up? Once again, the customer is blamed for a difficult ordering process with rules that change as the owner sees fit. So the problem is this: I placed an order and my money was taken. I did not receive any communication that my order was canceled . . . and she did not refund me voluntarily. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. Now I have attached photos of the FB messaging thread - as pictured, I clearly stated my order number and desire to pick it up at the store. The auto response from The Scottish Dog says I will get a response within 48 hours. But I got nothing. Now, the owner is saying repeated contact is hostile and will be reported. I realized that my pup was out of dog food and frantically ordered the food online at midnight on Friday. On Saturday, I was out of the house early in the morning and couldn't get to the store until 4PM. When I arrived at the store at 4PM, the owner was already locking her door!
