Update: The manager of this studio called me to make things right. She was very empathetic and professional. She also mentioned that they will be opening another location soon, which will alleviate the scheduling challenges. So I am adding a star for the customer service. However, I still stand by my original review - removing the "Ugh..." and moderating my "hard pass" since they are trying. I'm giving it another month and will update again after.
l want to love Club Pilates but cannot give it a full endorsement. The instructors and classes are great BUT the policies and scheduling are a nightmare. As a new member who is not yet ready to commit to an unlimited membership, it is near impossible to book classes on the app at a time that fits my schedule as they fill up far in advance. So it's been 8pm classes or nothing. My attempt to attend a more available midday class failed when traffic coming from work caused a delay. I was refused entry for being 7 minutes late, and according to CP cancellation policy, I forfeit my $45.
Yes, policies serve a purpose but it is apparent that those at Club Pilates restrict access for someone like myself. So if you are a stay-at-home parent, student or someone with tremendous flexibility to take classes outside prime time (before or after usual business hours), it may work for you. Otherwise Club Pilates is NOT a user-friendly place. I considered signing up for an unlimited membership, but there's nothing worse than feeling like you are being held hostage to do so in order to enjoy ANY benefits. Club Pilates is a hard pass. No one needs the stress of working around unduly restrictive policies...

I never liked group classes before because I was self conscious, but with Pilates youāre kind of just laying on your reformer staring at the ceiling minding your business and doing your own thing. The instructors are so accommodating. I remember in the beginning I had a limited range of motion so Adina and Nicole would always come by my side and adjust me till I got it right without making me feel like I was incapable of doing something. Theyāre so supportive and really push you to be the best version of yourself and I love them for that!
I initially joined because I saw an IG ad on my feed, and I was feeling extra tired and slumped during lockdown with my PCOS and hypothyroid issues. I was tired of feeling tired, and it was embarrassing being out of breath from walking up a flight of steps. I wanted strength and flexibility without running mindlessly on a treadmill or elliptical.
Iāve noticed so much improvement since I joined. I have so much more energy through the day, I feel like I vibrate with energy! I lost 15 lbs. I am so much more toned now. Most importantly, I canāt even believe all the things my body is capable of doing. I went from not even being able to put my legs in tabletop at all to now trying out all these crazy progressions.
My favorite classes are Cardio Sculpt and Center and Balance.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreClub Pilates Metuchen has been the best investment I have made in a long time. I have joined many different gyms and this has been the most satisfying thus far. I joined in November. I generally attend classes in the evening and I get a great workout each time. I didnāt think that Pilates would leave me sore, but I have workout areas I didnāt dream possible.
You get the experience of a āprivateā trainer in a class setting. And it makes the workout even more enjoyable because you feel like you are in a space with others who want to get healthy. The trainers are very concerned about your form and overall well-being.
The staff and trainers are personable and professional. The staff has taken the challenge of remembering faces and names. I have taken classes with Adina, Nicole, Carolann, Jessica and Kristen. I canāt say I have a favorite because they are AWESOME!
The studio is super clean and there is ample parking.
I look forward to continuing on my wellness journey and seeing changes in my overall health and body.
