My experience started out pleasant...... we came about 10 minutes early, there was a waitress that greeted us and said we could sit down until they were ready, we asked her about the veggie burger on the menu. We wanted to know if it has eggs or dairy, she said no. The menu didn't mention ANYTHING about there being dairy in the burger. This is important for me, because I am lactose intolerant. So we sat down and were excited that a STEAK HOUSE had a VEGGIE burger. We had a different waitress take our order, we asked her again if the veggie burger was in fact free from eggs and dairy just to confirm. She said they did not have eggs or dairy.... we even told her to make sure the toast does not have the garlic butter on it, she said she would make sure..Finally we get our meals. I cut into the veggie burger.. and what do I see.. cheese. Obviously, I cannot eat this. And I was surprised, because I have literally never had a veggie burger with cheese on it!! So I go to the counter where the waitress is and I said to her... "does the veggies burger have cheese." She look surprised and said no. She turned to a man (who I think is the owner) and asked if there was cheese in the veggie burger. He said "of course there is cheese in the veggie burger." And I said, ok I cannot have it then. So he said, very sarcastically, "what do you want me to put in it, carrots." I continued to say that I have an allergy to dairy and it was not listed on the menu and the waitress didn't even know it has cheese. He looked at me and kind of rolled his eyes and said sorry. I then asked what we should do, and he said we could leave. So we left, feeling satisfied with how the support staff treated us, but feeling upset at the owner or manager for treating us this way. I will never go back here. And CHEESE should be on the menu. Sorry, this is so long, I just felt like I needed...

One of the Worst Dining Experiences of My Life – Avoid at All Costs

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We were served, and I use that word generously, a plate of beans – not a dish with beans, but literally a sad puddle of canned beans unceremoniously dumped into a tray, like a school lunch gone terribly wrong. The accompanying “salad” was some limp greens drenched in a vinegar so harsh it could strip paint – absolutely inedible.

And then came the “toast,” which was burnt beyond recognition, charred in such a way that I’m convinced they grilled it over an actual engine block. It reeked of motor oil and despair.

But the true insult came with the bill: not only was the meal horrendous, but we were robbed. The total should’ve been $80, which was already outrageous for the garbage we were served, but they had the audacity to pre-add a $20 tip – without asking. So we paid $100 for what was essentially a culinary hate crime.

I wouldn’t feed that meal to a raccoon. The whole experience was a disgrace.

But of course, in that area, there’s nothing else around, so they clearly rely on people being desperate and trapped. Well, never again. I’d rather chew on my own shoes...

Nice schtick with the swinging grate to cook your meals, but they need to do more to make it worthwhile. Season the steaks - the cut used was not tender nor tasty on its own. Add some flavor Add some veggies the salad - a couple leaves of lettuce and some dressing does not make a salad. Put the beans in a side bowl - throwing the beans on the plate and having them run not the lettuce and steak is not appealing we are tourists, not cowboys (if that is the reasoning) If you are going to charge $40 for a steak, spruce it up a bit to make it look appealing Don't let the cook squish the steak to determine if it is made correctly. He didn't get it right. Add netting or fans to keep the flies off the food Get your own bathroom - having to go into the motel is inconvenient Get wifi - after a $40 steak we sholdn't have to pay to use the motel wifi

Otherwise, the place has a small town feel which I enjoyed. The waitress was nice when she got time to stop by (not her fault, she was swamped).

This place has some things to work on, but it's okay to...
