When our family dog (and my dad's best friend) Boomer had to be unexpectedly put down, we were all at a loss. Costly vet bills had put my dad in a finacial pinch and even tho my dad had always wanted to have Boomer cremated, we couldn't afford the price of the vet cermation services. On our way home from the vets, discussing where we'd bury him, I started to call around. I called several well known pet crematoriums, only to get an unpersonable voice recording of prices that were still out of our range...When I called Paws and Remember, the phone was answered by an actual person. Jane was very kind, going over the prices which were nearly half of what everyone else was asking for a 90 pound dog. She told us we could bring him immediately. When we arrived, everyone was extremely respectful and sympathetic of our loss and explained to us the process and packages. When we agreed on one and the gentlemen came for Boomer, they were very kind, giving us time to say our last good byes. We were told it would take about a week to get Boomer back, but I was surprised when I received a call the next day that he was ready to be picked up. I can't say enough how well Boomer's remains were packaged and returned to us. Paws & Remember treated us and Boomer like family. I am so grateful I found them and if the time ever comes again when we have to say goodbye to another fur baby, I will definitely be trusting Paws & Remember with the preparation of their remains again. Thank you so much for offering us a way to remember our...
Read moreWe lost our Sadie on February 2nd 2018 and it was the hardest experience of my life. I've had pets my whole life and we've always buried them in my childhood backyard but unfortunately that childhood home may not always be there so we decided to go the cremation route. I was uneasy and unsure of the process. When I spoke to Jane on the phone she made me feel at ease and offered to meet and speak with me about the process. When we went to the office that day to meet Jane she immediately made me feel at peace. They treated us like family and acted as if our Sadie was one of their own. She also brought out Adam, the gentleman that would be taking care of our Sadie and he stayed through the whole process. They went over the different services they offered along with all the different urns and jewellery to choose from. We were there for a couple of hours and not once did they try to rush us nor did they try to push anything on us. I would recommend them 100 times over and I know that in the future, (hopefully 100 yrs from now) they'll be taking care of my other babies when the time comes. Jane and Adam, we can't thank you enough for all you did for us and our Sadie. She's now on our mantle watching over us with that...
Read moreWe recently lost our sweet doggy. Our veterinarian suggested paws and remembrance for cremation. We were very worried about how our dogs body would be cared for during this process and we were eager to get back his remains. The package sent back to us exceeded our expectations. We received his ashes in a wooden urn with a spot for his photo and his name engraved on the top. We also received a charm for his ashes to be worn on anything we like, even with his initial on it. His fur clipping was sent in a small booklet in which we could write about his personality and stories of him. I can’t believe how seriously and carefully they took care of everything. I strongly recommend their services! Everything is so thoughtful...
