I'm new in town and didn't know where to go to find someone to trust. The guy I spoke with at autozone recommended these guys. I drove over and the mechanics themselves were nice. I explained my lights are dimming and I can't see the road. I use my highbeams and even they get dimmer. They said come back tomorrow. I show up and the owner smiled to my face but basically robbed me. Didn't listen to me saying I have a possible electric issue with the grounding. Charged me 75 dollars for 2 lightbulbs... we all know how much lightbulbs cost. Now I still can't drive at night. He totally gaslit me when I tried to explain again I had already changed the lightbulbs... I can't really afford to lose 75$ for no reason... but I didn't want the confrontation after already being taken advantage of. Hoping to find a shop that listens to me and values my business as well as my safety since I still can't see the road at night. I hope other people see this and keep it in mind if you feel like you're being taken advantage of... you probably are... I feel dumb for trusting this business.
In response to the owner: Thank you for responding to this. I have taken it to another local shop and they instantly noticed all my wires were corroded. They are going to check each one and if that isn't going to fix they will replace the alternator. They said that is usually the first place a shop should look when experiencing this problem. Again thank you for responding however I now feel more comfortable with this shop having felt listened to and haven't been charged anything after the diagnosis. No offense but if you would have said before replacing the bulbs how much it would've costed (which you should) I would've replaced them myself as I am extremely low income and know how to change a lightbulb. That 75$ was literally food I...
Read moreI brought my H3 to the GM dealer for an electrical problem. After the second time in the dealership they said that they could NOT repair the problem(s) . So, very frustrated I took a shot bringing the car into Fine Tunes. Let me start out by saying their service was AMAZING!!! Jay looked at my remote controls that were not working (Chevy Dealer just put in 2 new ones and programmed them), my signal light not working, and one side of my rear brake light flashes and then cuts out. After Jay diagnosed the problem. rather quickly I might add, he told me all 3 electrical problems stem from the same part called a BCM (or Body Control Module). So he changed the BCM and ended my problem in 1 visit. Not to mention inexpendively as well! The dealership that I previously took my H3 to was seriously lost. No idea on how to handle my problem. Jay also goes out of his way offering a new part or a refurbished part to save me money. Fine Tunes has not only the expertise to repair cars, but they have intregrity as a repair shop. If I could give Fine Tunes 10 stars I would. Great Job Fine Tunes! PS - I’m an old guy now but I previously hold 8 ASE National certifications. I’ve worked for Oldsmobile and Cadillac so I have a deep understanding of how things work, at least in older vehicles. Thus I really make a good judge on whether or not a mechanic is being straight with me. Jay is straight forward and he explained everything to me in detail. He is a super honest guy. You will not regret bringing your car to him when it...
Read moreI own a 2013 Mercedes-Benz C300 with a, Harmon Kardon, fiber optic sound system that stopped working. I took it to the shop I use for repairs and they charged me $400 to diagnose the problem. After two weeks, they gave the car back, indicating they were unable to repair it. So I checked with the dealer which would have cost even more but they wouldn’t guarantee they could fix it so, I was not bringing it there. I spent the next few months looking for a shop that could repair or replace the sound system. Ultimately, I was told that it was not repairable or replaceable! A close friend referred me to Jay at Fine Tunes. Jay took the time to find a replacement sound system and provided a quote that I could live with. It took quite a while for them to get it all figured out, but they finished it, professionally and within the original repair quote. I highly recommend Fine Tunes to anyone that needs to repair, change or upgrade their sound system. This shop goes the distance for...
