Rooted Hair Salon — Local services in Middlefield

I have never been more excited to write a review! I posted on my town’s Facebook page in search of a recommended hair stylist. Rebecca, Rooted’s Owner, responded and I immediately connected with her. She was so engaging through messaging and said that she would like to connect me to a stylist, Jen, who she believed would truly nail the hair color and style I was looking for.

And she was SPOT ON! Jen reached out immediately, she was so prompt in communicating and her hours were very flexible and accommodating. On my hair appt day, Jen made me feel so comfortable! She took the time to listen to what I wanted to do with my hair and asked several questions to make sure she understood. I felt very heard and felt like she truly took the time to understand exactly what I wanted.

I spent about 5 hours at the salon and it flew by. Jen was so fun to chat with. The environment was comfortable and the energy was awesome. A little girl was getting her FIRST haircut at the same time with Rebecca and it was so cool to watch how excited all of the stylists were, which made the young girl so proud and excited. They even gave her a crown after! For surviving her first hair cut! How cool. They even made it special for the mama, by saving some hair for the mom to use as a keepsake.

When Jen finished my hair. Omg. I felt emotional. She nailed it! I hadn’t had my hair done in ~2 years and I felt so good about myself! I told her I wanted a slight trim with the absolute minimal taken off the length. And she really listened to me with that too.

She walked me through each step of my hair process and just made the appointment really fun. Honestly, I’ve found my new stylist and salon! Thank you...

It's been 5 years since my stylist Shop closed during covid and never reopened. I went 3 years with not finding anybody who could cut my hair well I then decided to stop cutting my hair for 2 years. Then I found Rooted. They are like no Salon that I've ever gone to before they contacted me a week before my appointment asking me what my hair was like and what I was looking to have done with my hair I just never had anybody reach out to me like that and not having my haircut for 2 years I was able to explain that and that I was actually enjoying my long hair and I just felt like I found somebody who cared about what they were going to do for my hair. I got the best haircut I've had in a long time and and the shampoo I got I would go back and pay for just that, they just took their time with my shampoo massaged my scalp I've never experienced anything like that it was amazing. I'm so looking forward to my next appointment with them in a couple months if you're looking for a salon that cares about what they do with people's hair this is the place for you. I love going to Rooted to see Sophie! She is very accommodating, has a friendly personality and sense of humor, and is very knowledgable about all things hair care related. She helped me decide what color to dye my hair when I didn’t really know exactly what I wanted. Sophie explained everything in a way I could understand it as someone with very little experience, which I really appreciated because I was nervous to dye my hair for the first time. I couldn’t be happier with my results and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else for a touch up. My favorite thing about Rooted is the calming environment, everyone is very welcoming and the interior design creates a beautiful and peaceful vibe. They also have a coffee machine with flavors and little cookies which is my favorite touch overall. Previously when I’ve been to salons it has been an in and out experience, without specific dedication to detail and service, but everyone at Rooted makes you feel very comfortable and attended to.
