Dollar General — Local services in Middletown Township

This was my 1st time at this particular location for a Dollar General visit. It was on 11-19-18 at 930pm. My 1st impression upon walking in was not good. I was not greated by the front desk woman who was just relaxing before closing, I get it though long day, tired gave benefit of the doubt however, I cant remember the last time I entered a store without being acknowledged at any point of my visits. The doors were dirty to the point they were cloudy from dirty hands. Too many isles and shelves were disorganized, things in wrong places ect. The frozen food section was probably the worst besides the clearance areas and the Christmas gifts and toy areas also a mess. I had to really look for what I needed and unfortunately the 2 young associates were busy gossiping quietly but loud enough to hear them as they complained about work and comments about people hurrying up, the one man needed a laxative and they did not help him only to say I THINK it's in isle #_. I was not asked if I needed help finding something so I could get out of there so it took me longer than I would have liked. I have 5 kids and i like to be in and out of stores!

I'm comparing this to the other locations that I have shopped at. Those locations were clean, organized, everything was priced you're always greeted and asked if you needed help finding anything. Those are the things that people want and expect when they shop esp around the holidays. I will probably shop again but not at this location. They have cute teachers gift sets for $3 to $10 for...

Back in October I brought a small wallet because my old one was falling apart when I brought this cute wallet I was so happy. Every time after that as soon as I walked in the metal detectors would beep. I thought it was my Nine West purse that my co worker had brought but it wasn’t. So I just stopped coming. Today I had a prenatal check up at st.marys so I decide to walk over and buy some products for my hospital bag. As soon as I walked in the detectors beeped bringing unwanted attention to me. The guy employee already knew me from before so I don’t know why he was making rude comments every time I walked by he would whisper a rude comment to his co worker. I don’t like the disrespect and he was very dumb if I wanted to steal why would I wear my uniform with my name tag on it. I’m clearly tired I worked 7-3 right after work I had a prenatal appointment then before I went home I needed to buy things for my hospital bag. I’m wearing a purse where you can see the inside not a book bag or whatever. Your employees are rude and unprofessional and lack common sense. Why would a person in uniform open purse try to steal soap,tooth brush, flip flops and other personal care that’s conveniently Located next to the registers??? And the employee who I brought the wallet off of never took off the...

This post was a 2, because I was giving this place the benefit of the doubt that maybe there could be possibility that customer service and the accuracy of pricing was just my bad luck of the day.... But apparently this is a habitual problem with this Dollar general so 1 is the new rating.....

Wow!!! Rude employees who can't be bothered to help you. Products placed on shelves where they don't belong, in quantity, and with inaccurate pricing (accurate pricing not available on the shelf). And a front-end supervisor who doubles down on an employee's right to not assist you and justifies that rude employees "right" to be on their personal cell phone. And then tries to explain that maybe the employee isn't rude, rather they were just talking on their cell phone.... There are two other dollar type stores in that shopping center..... Definitely will never be going back to that one....
