Going to give another 1 star review although I wish I could give negative stars. They will build you a "decent" home, but you can forget about any service if youre needing it.
We purchased our house with the "upgraded" kitchen option, and upon arrival, the company installed the "base" kitchen option. The island was white when we had ordered brown. Until all the emails and phone calls were sent, it ended up taking the company longer to install the correct ordered kitchen then it did to build the entire house. This literally cost us so much time and money as this was the hold up to getting into our house. We were told they were having trouble getting the cabinets when in fact they manufacture their own cabinets.
Then we move on to almost a year later when warranty is about to expire, so I make a list of things that are in need of service. I contact my dealer with descriptions and pictures of the work needed to be completed. This is in February. I'm typing this review in November, and the work still isn't completed. Multiple times I taken off of work to meet with their service crew, only for them to show up with the incorrect material or no material at all to do the work needed. Just to be rescheduled and get the same response the next time they show up.
Now we jump to current time. Our sliding glass doors have water intrusion causing the Subfloor under to rot and warp. We unfortunately dont have a deck at this time, and the sliders are about 8 feet off the ground. The company was made well aware of this not only by me, but also their service techs to let the company know they will need scaffolding to make this repair. After a month of no communication from the company, I call John the service manager to find out why no one has showed up when they told me a month earlier they would be back to do the repair. Just be prepared if you have to speak with John, he has no concern or respect for the customer. He is refusing to complete the work until we have our deck built. I currently dont have a time frame for when that will be built, so he is okay with the customers floor to continue to rot and deteriorate as water keeps coming in.
He then placed blame on my dealer for not contacting me to let me know of the reason of repairs, when in fact it is Ritzcraft doing the service work, not the dealer. I then reach out to my dealer to see if they had been made aware and asked if they were to let me know of the situation as John had said. Not suprised, my dealer said they had not been contacted, so that looks like a lie on Ritzcrafts end.
In the end, do yourself a favor and go with a different home builder. Anyone can build a home, but service is where it counts and clearly this company does not care about service after making a sale. At this point we will more then likely have to find our own contractor to do the repair and eat the cost as I'm not even confident enough that the repair will be correct if this...
Read moreMy wife and I purchased a Ritz-Craft custom built modular home through Clear Water Village in Spotswood NJ . Well let me say I am not happy nor impressed with the quality of work and the craftsmanship. From the day we signed the paperwork it has been a nightmare. They said everything was inspected before closing, well first we had no heat, the furnace didn’t work and they sent an heating company out to repair it. Well it took almost a week and the furnace never worked prior to this. The company changed some switch that didn’t work. Well it finally got figured out that the flue was to short. That’s not all there is more a lot more! The kitchen faucet leaked as well as the dishwasher, and then the water heater started leaking. The best yet the shower leaked from day one and was repaired 4 times with globs of silicone. Now the shower door separating block is rusting! Now I’m getting the run around as to who is responsible for the repairs. Wait still more! The flooring is separating in spots as well as nail pops and looks to be buckled throughout the house. Where the house was joined the floor dips and squeaks in spots. All the molding is not cut to 45degree angles on the inside corners. BathroomCabinets are actually kitchen cabinets. All the kitchen outlets were loose. And the Air Condition and heating system was not working properly. Ritz-Craft sent a tech out and he said one of the flex duct was crushed and that the system is not balanced properly. That’s why one side gets better air flow then the other. And then denied saying it to the company! Now to the exterior, all of the f and j channels are not 45 degree cuts, the trex decking has discoloration in spots, and screwed the trex down by drilling holes on the top and then used plugs to cover the holes. And there are large gaps in spots. Who does this not a very professional company! I would not recommend this company to build houses! Ritz-Craft Needs to put products before profits and have some quality control.we are now here a year and still the deck has not been fixed but they did come and brought one board which was no where near what we have. When we ask about these problems we get we are working on them. BEWARE when buying a home...
Read moreLike many other reviews very dissapointed with the quality. Moved into our modular in 2021. From leaking a toilet 2 weeks after moving in, to leaking patio doors due to incorrect install. Uneven kitchen back splash. Roof shingles on garage lifted. Garage windows installed wrong. Furnace issues which were never addressed. Delayed reply and we were told to call the manufacturer. By this time it was after 1 year, so no warranty.
The uneven backsplash was up to Ritz Craft standards which says alot. Some of this is the builder but either way excuses from both the builder and Ritz Craft. Bottom line is they were never corrected to our liking. Alot of the repairs we did on our own to avoid the hassles.
Some interior doors don't line up correctly there's gaps.
The list goes on....
Recently that same leaking toilet leaked again, we had to cut into the drywall to repair. Of course moisture resistant drywall wasn't used!!!
Front door wasn't installed correctly so there's always a draft, trim work now has mold on it. Basically the same issue with our French doors.
Only simple repairs are made with this company. Everything else excuses are made even within the first year time frame. Warranty doesn't mean anything to them.
Very disappointed. My advice is...
